CDA works directly with the companies that fabricate and produce copper materials to leverage the experience of an entire industry, and implement copper-based solutions where they will provide a direct benefit to end-users... After discovering a study published in 1983, Dr. Harold Michels of CDA began to unravel the antimicrobial properties of copper. Although this property of copper has been exploited for centuries, it was the combined effort of the industry that brought these remarkable materials to the frontline in the fight against a deadly problem growing in every corner of the world.
