Cheryl-Lee Bolton

With over thirteen (13) years of experience in criminal and civil litigation at the public and private bar, Cheryl-Lee brings a wealth of knowledge to Richards and Company. She honed her craft whilst she was employed at two (2) of Jamaica's prominent legal institutions: the Attorney General's Chambers and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Cheryl-Lee's litigation experience includes conducting complex trials and arguing constitutional claims. She has appeared in landmark decisions concerning mutual legal assistance, judicial reviews against the Financial Investigations Division and Historic Child Sexual Abuse. She has also assisted clients with incorporating companies and provided sound advice in commercial and corporate matters. A teacher at heart, she has lectured students and law enforcement officials in several legal courses at the Paralegal Training Institute, the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean and the Police Academy. In her downtime, she enjoys going to the beach, volunteering and travelling.

John E. Carrington KC

John is a native of Trinidad and Tobago who has practiced law for 30 years, his last 16 years of practice being at the Bar in the Virgin Islands. John practices generally as an advocate before the High Court, the Court of Appeal and has appeared before the Privy Council in civil and commercial matters. He has had conduct of matters in several islands of the Eastern Caribbean and as far as Turks and Caicos Islands. He has advised and prepared written briefs for Privy Council matters and has provided expert evidence on BVI law in proceedings in foreign courts. He has also served as an Acting Justice of Appeal of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. John has been counsel in two landmark cases in recent times: the Black Swan case in the BVI High Court where he persuaded the court that it had jurisdiction to make certain orders to prevent the dealing with assets in a way that could frustrate a future foreign judgement and the Judges Pension case where he acted for the High Court judges of the entire Eastern Caribbean region on questions regarding the interpretation of legislation governing their pension rights.

Kemar A. Roberts

Kemar joined the firm as an Associate in March 2019 having worked as a litigator at a leading Criminal Practice in Barbados, and as a legal associate at a Fin Tech company previously. Kemar has a keen passion for complex litigation matters and Corporate, Commercial and Civil Law. He is an avid legal writer and is constantly researching new and innovative legal fields. Kemar attended the University of The West Indies and the Hugh Wooding Law School where he exhibited his strong advocacy skills having won moot competitions and representing the law school in international competitions, with commendation. He is also a former national debating champion having successfully represented Barbados twice in the World's School Debating Championship. He is dedicated to client satisfaction and a high standard of professionalism. Kemar is called to the Bar in Barbados and Antigua and Barbuda.

Stacy A. Richards

Stacy A. Richards has been in private practice for over 26 years. In 1999 Stacy became Senior Attorney of a fresh and innovative law firm, which from the day of opening its doors focused on raising the bar of professionalism and service in Antigua and Barbuda. Her practice areas are: banking law, company law, real estate, employment law mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property on the transactional and litigation sides. She has assisted many foreign companies with a presence in Antigua and Barbuda as well as local companies implement significant structural changes. Stacy is very familiar with the business landscape in Antigua and Barbuda and keeps abreast of developments in the law; two attributes which when combined make for sound advice. Her keen understanding and appreciation of business decisions within the context of the law give her an advantage in advising corporations and other organizations. Stacy also has extensive practice and experience in the Courts of Antigua and Barbuda. She is a licensed Corporate Management and Trust Service Provider, a former member of the Ethics and Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Antigua and Barbuda Bar Association and has been an annual contributor for many years to the Doing Business publication produced by the World Bank. Stacy enjoys reading, outdoor walking and traveling.
