ARIZONA DENTAL FOUNDATION

As part of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Access to Oral Health Initiative, ADF implemented an intensive, hands-on special needs dentistry program that trained over 100 dentists in a three-year period on the unique challenges of serving individuals with a developmental disability in an effort to increase access to care by offering behavioral management techniques over costly sedation. The program was offered again in 2011 to 28 Maricopa County area dentists through a generous grant from the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust.
