The Center for Engineering Innovation CEI is the prototyping, advanced engineering services, and technical education center for the University of Utah. We serve industry and public/government collaborators as well as supporting Utah's academic institutions (Faculty, Staff, and Students). It is an integral part of the Utah Nanofabrication Laboratory and Micron Microscopy Core recharge/service centers, and offers capabilities that are unique for the State of Utah. No other publicly accessible facility in Utah can provide this number, density of unique and complex tools, integrated processes and knowledge base in highly advanced technologies and their respective application fields and markets that make it easily accessible for users... We are maturing technologies and intellectual property, and de-risking and accelerating the transfer of technologies into the commercial space as envisioned by the University of Utah and USTAR (Utah Science Technology and Research Initiative).
