Barbara Burkhard

Dr. Burkhard has provided psychological services to young children and their families for over 35 years. She holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from Stony Brook University and has specialized training in the area of child abuse assessment. She has served as program director for several Suffolk County programs serving children and families including the Child Treatment Program of North Suffolk Mental Health Center, Inc. and Parents Anonymous of Suffolk County. She has received awards from both Suffolk County and the State University for her work. Dr. Burkhard currently provides treatment and assessment for children and parents including treatment for distressed and traumatized children. She also provides expert testimony in child abuse and custody proceedings.

Jane Albertson-Kelly

Dr. Albertson-Kelly has worked with individuals and families in crisis for over 15 years. Dr. Albertson-Kelly has a doctorate in clinical psychology as well as a Master's Degree in Education. She has been affiliated with the Adolescent Psychiatric Unit at Mather Hospital, the North Suffolk Center Child Treatment Program, and the Northport VA. A former teacher, Dr. Albertson-Kelly has particular interests in working with families adjusting to separation and divorce, as well as adolescents. She is recognized as an expert witness in the areas of parenting, custody and sexual abuse and has presented on topics related to these areas.

Jessica Panagiotidis

Jessica attended St. John's University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 1996. She began working as a Job Placement Specialist for adults with developmental disabilities while employed with AHRC. Her passion for helping people with disabilities led to her decision to further her training. Jessica graduated from Hofstra University with a Master's Degree in Education, specifically, vocational rehabilitation counseling in 1999. She began working as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with ACCES-VR in 2001 where she helps individuals with various disabilities, find employment, and live independent lives. Jessica decided to pursue a second Master's Degree in Social Work and graduated from Adelphi University in 2017. She obtained her licensure and is fulfilling her passion in clinical counseling. Her experience ranges from children to adults with respect to individual, group, and family counseling services.

With over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, I specialize in person centered therapy which enables me to create individualized treatment for each client I meet. Psychological evaluations are also offered to assess for ADHD, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ADOS-2), and developmental delays. At our practice we use humanistic therapy techniques. I use a variety of techniques such play therapy, sandplay therapy, expressive therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, nuerofeedback, biofeedback, and person centered therapy.
