Champions Fitness is family owned and operated and was started in January of 2002. Champions Fitness was founded by Horacio Tavares, prominent business owner in the community and his son Michael Tavares a recent graduate of Northeastern University. Horacio, an immigrant of Sao Miguel, Azores Portugal has been in business for over 30 years and is president and owner of Horacio's Welding and Sheet Metal Inc., a successful metal fabrication company. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science Degree in Engineering Management. Both Horacio and Michael were workout partners and enjoy staying fit...
