Christopher Preston has been teaching Mathematics for Cloud County Community College since the Fall of 2000. He has taught courses ranging from Mathematical Calculations to General Calculus. He has also taught Business and General Statistics. Christopher was awarded the 2011-2012 Outstanding Instructor by the Phi Theta Kappa, as well as a 2013 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Award of Excellence.

Dennis Smith began his teaching career at the University of North Carolina - Charlotte, in 1999, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
Smith came to Cloud County Community College in 2002 to fill the position of Instructor of Physical Science and assume the role of Observatory Director for the Earl Bane Observatory. Besides astronomy courses, Smith also teaches courses in chemistry, geology, meteorology and general science. He is also a member of the Kansas Rural Water Association and is certified as a water quality professional by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

Jamieson Gross is the Department Chair for the Agriculture Department as well as the Animal Sciences Instructor. He also manages the School Agriculture Farm. Jamieson has spent more than 15 years working in both business and production capacity for industrial goods as well as the animal industry. Jamieson coaches Equestrian, Horse judging and Livestock teams that compete nationally. He teaches Animal Science and Ag Economics/Ag Communication classes, in addition to academically advising Agriculture students. He is the advisor for the Collegiate FFA and Block and Bridle clubs. Jamieson also coaches a Swine Show team where students exhibit pigs that are farrowed on campus and shown at the San Antonio Stock Show and the Kansas State Fair. Jamieson is a carded judge for the Pinto Horse Association and a board member for the National Collegiate Horse Judging Coaches Association.

Josh Urban came to Cloud County Community College in August of 2015 as a biological sciences instructor. Beginning as an adjunct instructor at our Geary County campus, he is now in his second year teaching full time at Cloud, where he teaches primarily Human Anatomy and Physiology. Josh also oversees the human cadaver laboratory here at Cloud, teaching human body dissection, as well as providing tours to local and regional high school students from around Kansas.
Josh graduated with his Associates of Science in biology from Cloud County Community College in 2005, where he participated in theater and Great Society. He then received his Bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Kansas Wesleyan University, where he participated in choir, debate, and forensics. He completed his M.S. in Entomology in 2010, during which he was awarded a National Science Foundation graduate student training fellowship that allowed him to teach in the Junction City High School as a visiting scientist. Josh is currently completing his doctoral studies at Kansas State University, conducting research into tick salivary gland physiology.
Josh grew up in Concordia and was delighted to return to the area to pursue his passion for teaching science. During his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, basketball, softball, golf, and playing with his children.

Michael "Kit" Thompson served in the US Army Military Intelligence Corps for five years with deployments to Bosnia and Egypt. He worked as both an Arabic linguist and a Blackhawk crew chief in the 3rd Infantry Division. After his service, Kit taught robotics and computer game design in the Washington, D.C., and Seattle metropolitan areas. He moved to Concordia in 2016 and is now the Department Chair for CCCC's Renewable Energy program.
