Dallas Association of the Deaf, Inc. (DAD) was first organized in 1920 as a Dallas Silent Club, which incorporated in 1949. Then the organization renamed to the Dallas Association of the Deaf, Inc. in 1970. The organization is for D/deaf and hard of hearing people in the Dallas vicinity... It is our goal to serve the needs and interest of Deaf people to help them achieve their full potential. We also want to preserve our Deaf heritage, culture and American Sign Language (ASL).
