Significantly, Graeme Cundy's great-grandfather John Dickens was a brewer born in 1840 in Leicestershire, England. John emigrated to the Netherlands in 1871, at the time the famous Heineken Brewery was being established in Amsterdam. For over 21 years, Dickens Inn has served Whangarei locals and visitors alike with outstanding food, and from the cellar a large range of craft beers and fine wines.
