Christina I. Brady

Christina I. Brady, MD, graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Biochemistry and Anthropology. Upon earning her degree, she moved to New Mexico, where she began her research in nanotechnology under the Department of Energy as a Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship Fellow. Dr. Brady attended medical school at the University of New Mexico. She completed her residency at the University of Texas, San Antonio in Orthopaedic Surgery. She continued with fellowship training in hand surgery at the Hand Center of San Antonio. Dr. Brady is proud to stay in San Antonio and practices at the VA and Medical Arts and Research Center (MARC). She subspecializes in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery in support of the Orthopaedics Department.

Christopher DeLallo

Christopher DeLallo joined the Department of Orthopaedics in August of 2012. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Mr. DeLallo graduated from Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Sciences. Mr. DeLallo completed his educaion by earning his Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Sciences through the University of Nebraska in 2006. Mr. DeLallo's clinical interest involves evaluating and treating patients with fragility fractures caused by osteoporosis, managing non-operative traumatic fractures, and assisting Orthopaedic Faculty in the management of operative traumatic fractures. Mr. DeLallo enjoys playing/listening to music and spending time wit his wife and two daughters.

Dr. Dutta

Dr. Dutta is a specialist in shoulder and elbow conditions. He holds the rank of Associate Professor in the UT Health San Antonio‘s Department of Orthopaedics. Dr. Dutta was appointed to the following endowment, Charles A. Rockwood, Jr., M.D. Chair in Orthopaedics. Dr. Dutta previously was the holder of the Fred G. Corley, M.D., Chair in Orthopaedics. Dr. Dutta has a special interest in shoulder and elbow trauma, shoulder and elbow replacement surgery, and revision shoulder and elbow surgery. He has been an instructor in the University of Texas Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Fellowship for over 10 years. Dr. Dutta was born in Omaha, Nebraska and was raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is a graduate of Casady Episcopal Day School and Duke University. He attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma and graduated in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed a General Surgery Internship and Orthopedic Surgery Residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch and was honored with 4 Golden Bone Teaching Awards, 3 Highest In-Training Exam Score Awards, and 2 Hutchings Awards for Academic Excellence. He completed a Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and has served as a clinical faculty at UT Houston Medical School and Tripler Army Medical Center before beginning his career at UT Health San Antonio. Dr. Dutta served as Chief of the Audie Murphy VA Shoulder and Elbow Service for 7 years and was a Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve and is a recipient of the Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal. Dr. Dutta has a special interest in the development of global exchange of orthopedic knowledge and has traveled to multiple countries as well as hosted a number of international fellows to that end. Dr. Dutta has written a number of peer reviewed articles and multiple book chapters. He is the holder of 2 patents for new orthopedic implant devices. His research interests include upper extremity non-union surgery elbow replacement, allografts in elbow and humeral trauma, and the treatment of scapula fractures. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, a member of Texas Orthopaedic Association, and the Bexar County Medical Society. Dr Dutta is working with Lima Orthopaedic to develop navigation and 3D printed platform replacements for the shoulder and elbow as well as shoulder and elbow trauma innovation with Skeletal Dynamics. He is leading the Rockwood Shoulder and Elbow fellowship at University Health System.

Dr. Fred Corley

Dr. Fred Corley is a UT Health Physicians orthopaedic surgeon with deep expertise in surgeries of the hand and wrist. Originally from a small town in Mississippi, Dr. Corley attended the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic residency here at UT Health San Antonio. He then did fellowships in Hand Surgery and Sports Medicine at the Princess Margaret Rose Orthopaedic Hospital in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, and at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Corley has been a faculty member of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Health San Antonio for more than thirty five years. He teaches resident surgeons, focusing on upper extremity fractures and surgical patient care. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Association, The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, The American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and The Texas Orthopaedic Association. He is also a member of the renowned Alpha Omega Alpha, The Arnold Gold Humanism in Medicine Society, as well as the recipient of many clinical and teaching awards. Dr. Corley is an avid reader and sports fan who also enjoys duck hunting, gardening, and rock collecting.

Dr. Katherine "Katie" Christine Bartush

Dr. Katherine "Katie" Christine Bartush has returned to UT Health San Antonio to practice Sports Medicine and Foot & Ankle surgery. She focuses on treating patient's knee, shoulders, elbows, hips and ankles at the Medical Arts & Research Center in the Medical Center. Throughout her training, she has earned awards for excellence in Orthopedics and research. She has been published in peer-reviewed journals, written surgical technique articles, and performed clinical research. She is also a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society. Originally from Texas, and raised in South Bend, Indiana, Dr. Bartush graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BBA in Finance and minor in Chemistry. She attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Bartush completed her fellowships at Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama and The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. While there, she enjoyed taking care of multiple Division 1 Varsity Athletic Teams and Olympic Athletes. She has also traveled with the US Ski & Snowboard Team internationally as a Team Physician. After having ACL surgeries at a young age, she went on to play Division 1 Soccer for Southern Methodist University Women's Soccer Team. She is excited to return to South Texas and looks forward to keeping her patients active. She enjoys skiing, camping, tennis, spending time with her family.

Dr. Lawrence B. Harkless

A Native Texan, Dr. Harkless graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He completed his internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and his residency in podiatric surgery at Atlanta Hospital and Medical Center in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Harkless was formerly the Louis T. Bogy Professor of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and is one of the world's leading experts in the diabetic foot. He has been a mentor to many hundreds of podiatric residents, interns and students, a pioneer in integrating podiatric medicine into mainstream medicine, a dedicated diabetes educator and a diabetic foot researcher. Some of his many notable accomplishments included a founding member of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Council on Foot Care and past member of the ADA Board of Directors; Past-Chair of the Texas Diabetes Council; Past-President of the National Podiatric Medical Association and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association; Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academics of Practice; Recipient of the Professional Service Award from the Texas Legislature; Recipient of the APMA's Distinguished Service Citation; Recipient of the UTHSCSA President's Excellence Award in Teaching and Wall of Honor at the Texas Diabetes Institute. After 30 years of commitment to academic excellence and teaching, Dr Harkless moved in early 2007 to serve as the Founding Dean for the College of Podiatric Medicine at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.

Louis T. Bogy, DPM, started a foot clinic in 1954 at the Robert B. Green Hospital in San Antonio. From that humble beginning, Dr. Bogy developed and led clinical and teaching activities at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and within the community for more than four decades. He was named Chairman Emeritus upon his retirement from the UTHSCSA, and remained a mainstay of the podiatric community until his death in 2004.

Dr. Robert Quinn

Dr. Robert Quinn is currently Professor and Chair, Department of Orthopaedics at UT Health San Antonio, a position he has held since 2012. He was also Director of the Orthopaedic Residency Program until 2016. Prior to 2012 he was Vice Chair for Education and Residency Program Director at the University of New Mexico. His area of orthopaedic specialization is musculoskeletal oncology. Dr. Quinn is currently Chair of the Council on Research and Quality for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, one of the highest leadership positions in that organization. He is past president of Musculoskeletal Tumor Society. He has published 85 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 16 textbook chapters, and a textbook on bone and soft tissue tumors. Dr. Quinn has held membership and leadership positions in multiple national organizations, professional societies, and multidisciplinary cancer research groups. He is a consultant reviewer for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. In addition to Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Quinn is actively involved in the specialty of Wilderness Medicine. He is an accomplished mountaineer. Dr. Quinn is a past president of the Wilderness Medical Society and a Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine. He has previously served on the editorial board of the Wilderness and Environmental Medicine Journal.
