Aisha Griffith is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at University of Illinois Chicago. Her research focuses on the development and function of relationships between adolescents and non-parental adults within diverse learning contexts, including out-of-school time programs and schools. She is particularly interested in how mechanisms within these relationships and interactions (e.g., trust; unfair treatment; feedback; etc.) and external to them unfold to support or hinder positive adolescent development. She has conducted extensive research on trusting youth-adult relationships in out-of-school time contexts and is beginning to explore the nature of Black students' interactions with adults within school. She has published her research in developmental psychology and youth development journals as well as being featured in spaces for practitioners (Profiles in Mentoring: Aisha Griffith on afterschool mentoring; Summary of article on Black students' unfair experiences; Tip sheet summarizing literature on providing effective feedback distributed at the Statewide Illinois 4-H Annual Staff Meeting). Her specializations include qualitative methodology, out-of-school time programs, and youth-adult relationships.

Carol Myford is an Associate Professor Emerita in the Department of Educational Psychology. Her program of research focuses on scoring issues in large-scale performance and portfolio assessments. She has published studies related to rater training, rubric design, quality control monitoring, improving rater performance, and the detection and measurement of rater effects.
During her career, Myford has held assessment- and measurement-related positions in government, business and industry, and higher education. Prior to coming to UIC, Myford was a Senior Research Scientist at the Educational Testing Service (ETS). While at UIC, she designed and taught face-to-face and online courses in assessment, measurement, and program evaluation and advised doctoral students in the MESA (Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics and Assessment) program. In semi-retirement, she continues to provide assessment- and measurement-related training and consultation, both in the U.S. and abroad. Her training-related travels have taken her to Australia, Thailand, Russia, South Africa, Honduras, Japan, and Costa Rica.
In 2009, and then again in 2018, she was named a Fulbright Specialist. Working through the Fulbright Specialist Program, Myford provides training and consultation services to institutions overseas that are facing assessment and measurement challenges. She has authored and co-authored numerous publications, and has served as an advisory editor for the Journal of Educational Measurement and as a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Applied Measurement.
Myford's program of research focuses on scoring issues in performance and portfolio assessments. She has conducted studies related to training raters, designing scoring rubrics, quality control monitoring, improving rater performance, detecting different types of rater errors, devising statistical indicators of rater drift, and understanding rater cognitive processes that underlie unusual or discrepant rating patterns. Myford has devised rating scales to evaluate complex performances and products and has analyzed rating data using many-facet Rasch measurement models. Her work blends qualitative and quantitative approaches to examining rating processes, illustrating how the interplay of statistical and qualitative analyses can help one develop, monitor, and continually improve large-scale performance and portfolio assessment systems.

Dr. Maria Teresa Campos (Terri) is a lifelong learner and 1st generation Mexican. She holds 3 master's degrees and an Ed.D. in Urban Leadership from University of Illinois Chicago. Dr. Campos was a resident principal at Chicago World Language Academy and later an assistant principal at Talcott Fine Arts and Museum. Wanting to be more challenged she took on the role of Principal of Rodolfo Lozano Bilingual International Center. The school was at its lowest level and was listed to close. The district gave the school a second chance and as a result, Terri was able to expand the Perk and Cluster program. She flipped the Bilingual Program to ensure students were receiving services while at the same time receiving rigorous instruction. In the Perk program, she worked to ensure the Pre-K curriculum was in place and incorporated Balanced Literacy to prepare students for kindergarten. In the cluster program, she developed collaboration between teachers and unified topics of learning in a tiered differentiated way. She also instituted a departmentalized program from grades 3-8 where teachers are certified in the content they teach.
With the support from staff, Dr. Campos transformed the school with CPS ratings from underperforming to performing above average. Her staff as well as she has participated in various projects sponsored by The Fund. She is a member of GEM and has been recognized by her network as a visionary leader. She is a proud board member of NHAE (Network of Hispanic Administrators in Education) with a 100% success rate she has worked with Latinos in preparing them to become Instructional Leaders. Dr. Campos began her journey at UIC as a doctoral candidate and now returns as a Leadership Coach.
