Al Mina, M.D., earned his B.S at Clemson University and his medical degree from MUSC in Charleston, completing his residency training in family medicine. He spent three years on the clinical faculty at the University of Tennessee in Memphis and another five in private practice before joining the Erskine faculty in 2007.
Dr. Mina primarily teaches anatomy, physiology, and neuroscience courses. With his experience as a physician, he is able to help students achieve their career goals in medicine and other health-related fields. He is also the faculty advisor for Erskine's chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta Health Preprofessional Honor Society, and a recipient of the Younts Excellence in Teaching Award.
He is married to Erskine alumna Christie Bankes Mina '91, who is a neurosurgeon in Greenville, South Carolina.

Cynthia Midcalf, PhD, is a licensed Professional Counselor with Substance Abuse Specialty Authorization. She sees patients with a variety of issues, including alcohol or other substance use problems, and also does Department Of Transportation assessments and ADHD testing. Erskine President Dr. Steven C. Adamson was educated at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebraska, where he earned a bachelor's degree in computer science and a master's degree in mathematics. He did doctoral work in operations research at George Washington University, Washington, D.C.; completed an M.Div. degree at Sangre de Cristo Seminary, Westcliffe, Colorado; and was awarded a Ph.D. at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.
Adamson most recently served as provost and executive vice president at Arizona Christian University. He has garnered 18 years of experience in higher education, including academic administration, and spent more than 15 years in the corporate world.

Beth Boyd is married to Erskine Head Football Coach Shap Boyd and is a trustee of the American Football Coaches Wives Association and has served as the organization's president. Dr. Janosik is an author as well as a professor of Apologetics and Islamic Studies. He has written articles and books on Christian-Muslim relations, the early historical development of Islam, as well as various topics in Apologetics. Dr. Janosik is a graduate of the College of William and Mary, and received an M.Div. degree as well as an M.A. in Muslim Studies from Columbia International University. He also received his Ph.D. from Brunel University (through the London School of Theology) in Historical Theology with a cognate in Islamic Studies. Jonathan Kittel, LPC/S, LMFT/S (M.Div. & M.A., Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary) is an Adjunct Professor of Christian Counseling at Erskine Theological Seminary. He is the founder of Wellspring Counseling, a private-practice group located in Greenville, South Carolina that focuses on being a source for improving the emotional health and relationships within our community. Jonathan provides clinical supervision to newly licensed therapists, as well as counseling services to couples, families, and individuals. Before professional counseling full-time, Jonathan served on the staff of Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church (Greenville, SC) for nearly 10 years as a youth minister and pastoral associate. Jonathan lives in Greenville with wife, Colette, and their three children.

Dr. Makujina has served Christ's church in both undergraduate and graduate Christian institutions. Prior to moving to South Carolina, he lived in Minneapolis and taught at Central Baptist Seminary. Since 2007 he has served full and part time as a professor of Biblical Studies at Erskine College and Theological Seminary. He currently teaches fulltime at New Covenant School in Anderson. His academic interests include Hebrew and Greek grammar, the historical books of the Old Testament, and Christian apologetics. A number of his writings have been published in peer-reviewed academic journals and popular magazines.

In her role at Erskine, Crystal Tolbert is an Administrative Assistant and Admissions Counselor in the Columbia Campus.
She has a BS Liberal Arts, Business Education with Certification in Office Occupations, Winthrop University, is a member of of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Columbia, SC, and has been awarded Church Women United of Columbia: Outstanding Young Church Woman for 2019!

Background
Crystal has felt a calling upon her life to minister through song since childhood. She was born and raised in South Carolina and began developing her musical talents at an early age. Crystal graduated from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC with a degree in Business Education. After graduating from college she married her late husband, Terence, and the union was blessed with three daughters. Over the years Crystal has been singing in choirs, serving as choir director, and as a musician in several churches.
Today Crystal is a member of Bethel AME Church in Columbia, SC where she is a committed member of the praise and worship team and mass choir, serves as director of the youth choir, and is a local commissioner for the Columbia Conference Debs and Masters Ceremony. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, learning new things, and singing with her father, siblings, and daughters in their group called "Pie and the Gospel Slices". Crystal also enjoys singing with a few ladies in her church in a group called "Divine Purpose".
Crystal has been given opportunities to provide praise and worship for events such as the Breaking Down Walls Racial Reconciliation Conference at Arsenal Hill Presbyterian Church. She has shared the stage with major gospel artists such as CeCe Winans, Tamela Mann, and Dottie Peeples while singing background vocals for Rev. Carolyn Brailsford, who currently serves as Supervisor of the 20 th AME Episcopal District. Crystal has also sang in Christmas play productions and other plays including Walter Rutledge's "Soulful Noel" with Jennifer Holiday.
She is an upcoming gospel artist with a new hit single called "Judgement Day", which was released on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. The song is currently available on all major online outlets for download including Apple Music, Amazon, iTunes, Google Music Store, Pandora, and Spotify. "Judgement Day" has been streamed over 99,000 times in over 60 countries.
God has given Crystal an amazing opportunity to minister in a way that touches people on many levels. As a widow she has used the healing power of music as her medication through difficult times and to build her relationship with God. She wants to inspire others to do the same.
