EWT - Key Persons
Carel Kok joined EWT as Chief Executive Officer in 2022. During more than 25 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience in the energy, utility and renewables industries he has held C-level and board positions in public and private energy companies on three continents. His involvement in the wind industry goes as far back as the late 90's in Europe and China. After commercially leading the transformation of nv Nuon (Vattenfall) from a regulated utility to an international energy company, he was active in various entrepreneurial ventures in renewable power generation and technology. Carel has a deep commitment to business for good, innovation and the energy transition. He holds a BA in Political Science from Princeton University and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University.

Michiel Fornier is responsible for EWT's commercial and corporate development activities. Between 2013 and 2018 Michiel was EWT's general counsel and held full responsibility for EWT's legal and corporate affairs.
Michiel joined EWT in 2011 in the legal department. He started his career as an attorney in 2002 with a practice focusing on IP, corporate and commercial advice and - litigation and M&A. Michiel holds a master's degree in Law from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
