Courtney graduated from Blake High School and went to Montgomery College where she received her 90 Hour certificate in Early Childhood Education. Courtney has worked as a Montessori assistant for over 10 years as well as admin assistant for 3 years. As of September 1, 2022 she received her certification as an Early Childhood Director. Courtney worked at Norbeck Montessori for 7 years, Fernwood Montessori for four years and Redwood Montessori for two years before joining the Evergreen team.
Mr. David is beginning his second year at Evergreen School. He holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from George Mason University and will be doing a Master in Accounting in the fall at the same university. He comes to us with experience working at a small digital marketing firm in DC.

Mr. DeMarchi is beginning his thirteenth year at Evergreen School. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and Studio Art from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, and a M. Ed. from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. He has served as Associate Head of School at The Woods Academy in Bethesda (2001-2011) and as Middle School Coordinator at Concordia International School Shanghai (1997-2001). He has also taught at Hong Kong International School (1995-1997) and Cincinnati Country Day School (1992-1995). Mr. DeMarchi currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Seneca Academy and on the Board of Montessori Schools of Maryland. Has also served on the Board of Trustees at Browne Academy in Alexandria.

Ms. Stegeman is beginning her sixth year at Evergreen School. Prior to Evergreen, Kara worked in both Montessori and Public School settings. She was a Primary Lead Teacher for 6 years at Sunrise Montessori in Franklin, MA where she was active in school outreach and giving tours. Ms. Stegeman also has worked in Public Schools as a School Counselor, most recently in Alexandria City Public Schools. She holds her Montessori Early Childhood Credential from New England Montessori Teacher Education Center in Boston MA. In addition, she earned her BA in Education from New England College and her MA in School Counseling from Rhode Island College.

Mrs. Sandridge is beginning her sixth year at Evergreen School. She holds a Montessori Early Childhood Credential from the Institute for Advanced Montessori Studies (IAMS). Before coming to Evergreen, Mrs. Sandridge taught at Barrie School in Silver Spring and before that served as president of a consulting firm in the legal industry. She began her career in education developing education programs at art museums. Mrs. Sandridge holds Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Art History from Wellesley College and a masters in Art History from UNC- Chapel Hill.

Mrs. Buenaflor, who is beginning her sixteenth year at Evergreen School, has a well-rounded background. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and her Montessori credentials for Early Childhood Education. She taught at Julia Brown Montessori School in Olney and at City Montessori Plus School in the Philippines. Before she did her training, Mrs. Buenaflor worked in the Philippines in two administrative positions: as an Executive Assistant for the Commissioner of the Civil Service Commission and as the Head Public Relations Officer for an international corporation.
