John R. Graham is D. Richard Mead professor of finance at the Fuqua School of Business, where he has won the Outstanding Faculty and several Best Teacher awards, and a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. His past work experience includes teaching at the University of Utah and seven years working as a senior economist at Virginia Power. He has been co-editor of the Journal of Finance and associate editor of The Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Finance, Finance Research Letters, and Financial Management. Graham has served as president and board director of the American Finance Association, the Western Finance Association, and the Financial Management Association, three of the largest academic finance professional organizations. Graham currently chairs the FMA's Diversity Scholar mentoring program and is academic director of the Duke Fuqua CFO Executive Education program. Graham has published more than 80 articles and book chapters on taxes, capital structure, cash management, governance, financial reporting, and payout policy, and won research awards including the Jensen Prize (5 times), the Brattle Prize, Graham and Dodd Scroll (2 times), the Financial Reporting Section American Accounting Association award (2 times), and the Notable Contribution to Accounting Award (2 times). His simulated corporate marginal income tax rates and optimal capital structure calculations are widely used and are an important input in the Kroll (Duff and Phelps) cost of capital and valuation publications. His teaching focuses on corporate finance broadly, taxes, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring. Graham has directed The CFO Survey (now conducted jointly with the Federal Reserve Banks of Richmond and Atlanta) since 1997.

David Ridley is a health economist and Dr. and Mrs. Frank A. Riddick, Jr. Research Fellow at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Has has served for more than a decade as the Faculty Director of the Center for Health Sector Management (HSM). HSM students comprise nearly 20 percent of Duke MBA graduates each year. David is an economist focused on incentives for innovation and quality, as well as pricing. He is dedicated to creating and studying tools that improve health. David was the lead author of two papers that became law. He and his colleagues proposed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) priority review voucher program which became law in 2007. The vouchers provide incentives for drug development for neglected and rare diseases. The FDA has awarded more than 70 vouchers valued at about $100 million each. David and his colleagues also proposed the Environmental Protection Agency vector expedited review voucher program which became law in 2022.

Rick Larrick is the Hanes Corporation Foundation Professor of Business Administration and a Professor of Management and Organizations at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He currently serves as Fuqua's Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Larrick is a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science, received Fuqua's Bank of America Outstanding Faculty Award in 2016, and served as president of the Society for Judgment and Decision Making in 2017. Larrick received his Ph. D. in social psychology from the University of Michigan in 1991. Prior to joining Duke in 2001, he taught at Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management (1991-1993) and at the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business (1993-2001). Sim B. Sitkin is Duke University's Michael W. Krzyzewski University Professor of Leadership, Professor of Management and Public Policy; Faculty Director, Fuqua/Coach K Center on Leadership & Ethics; and Director of the Behavioral Science and Policy Center. Previously at Duke, he served as Area Head for the Management and Organizations Department and Faculty Director of Fuqua's Health Sector Management Program. He is Founding Partner and President of Delta Leadership, Inc. In addition to serving in a number of administrative leadership roles at Duke, Sim has also been Academic Director at Duke Corporate Education and on the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin and the Free University of Amsterdam. He has been elected a Fellow of Academy of Management, International Network for Trust Research, Society for Organizational Behavior, the Society for Organizational Learning, and the Center for Evidence-based Management. Professor Sitkin's research focuses on leadership and control systems and their influence on how organizations and their members become more or less capable of change and innovation. He is widely known for his research on the effect of formal and informal organizational control systems and leadership on risk taking, accountability, trust, learning, M&A processes, and innovation. His research has appeared in such publications as Organization Science, Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, and Harvard Business Review. His most recent books are Organizational Control (2010), The Six Domains of Leadership (2016) and Routledge Companion to Trust (2017). Joining Fuqua's leadership team in early 2019 as the school's inaugural head of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (formerly the Office of Community Engagement and Inclusion), Stephanie works closely with students, staff and faculty to create a more inclusive and welcoming community while building an overarching culture of empathy and allyship. She received her BA in German Language and Literature and International Comparative Studies from Duke and worked in Germany after graduating in 2001. After returning to the states, she continued her education and received her JD from Georgetown University Law Center in 2006. The highlight of her time at Georgetown Law was working with the Street Law Clinic, which provided law-focused education to high school students in Washington, D.C., and her Education Law and Policy classes. After graduating from law school, Stephanie worked at Thacher Proffitt and Wood LLP in New York City in their structured finance department, but realized during that time that her passion lay in education. In 2009, she began a career in higher education and worked predominantly in admissions and graduate recruitment for business and law school before her current role. She has had the opportunity to work for amazing institutions including her alma mater, Georgetown Law, and Duke's rival down the street, UNC Chapel Hill. During this time, Stephanie developed programs and created pathways to enable diverse populations to apply for, and enroll in, graduate school programs. In her current role at Duke's Fuqua School of Business, Stephanie is dedicated to empowering individuals to be their authentic selves and active allies who support, protect and celebrate others' identities. Additionally, along with Dean Bill Boulding and Professor Rick Larrick, she makes up the Racial Equity at Fuqua team and is tasked with examining practices around racial equity, providing guidance on best practices to develop and sustain diverse and inclusive student bodies, and collect data and present in an annual report to provide transparency and accountability. Stephanie is a dedicated mental health advocate and believes that mental health is an integral part of the diversity, equity and inclusion conversation. She is a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor and leads the MHFA efforts at Fuqua. Through this, and other initiatives, her goal is to destigmatize mental health challenges and give students, staff and faculty the tools needed to effectively and safely support their peers and colleagues.
