GARDNER PATEL DENTAL GROUP - Key Persons
Dr. Gardner, our founder, has built a strong reputation as a caring and compassionate dentist, and has received the "Best Dentist" award from the Burlington Post many times. He was born and raised in Burlington and he holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Western Ontario. He formed Gardner Dental Group in 1982 and has been a practicing dentist for over 35 years. Dr. Gardner is an active member of the Ontario and Burlington Dental Associations.
He works hard, but he plays hard too! He's an avid skier, marathon runner, snowboarder, swimmer, scuba diver, and triathlete. His wife, Donna, is a hygienist with our practice and they have two grown children. Their daughter Brianne works in British Columbia in finance, and their son Darren is a competitive snowboarder who competed in the 2018 Olympics and is a 2022 hopeful.
When he has time off in the summer, Dr. Gardner and his family can be found at their cottage in Muskoka. In the wintertime they enjoy spending time at their chalet in Ellicottville, NY.
Dr. Metias chose dentistry because it allows her to use her artistic and creative abilities. She has been practicing dentistry for over 18 years. She joined our practice in 2014. She's originally from Dubai and received her dental education in Cairo before emigrating to Canada.
Dr. Metias specializes in root canals, braces, and Invisalign treatment. She has training in Endodontics, Invisalign, orthodontics, Smile Design, and veneers, and is a member of the Orthodontics Study Club, the Ontario Dental Association, and the Academy of GP Orthodontics.
She lives in Oakville with her husband and their two athletic sons, Youssef and Ramez, and their dog Simba, and she enjoys cycling in her spare time.
With great passion and high dedication, Dr. Noor started her career in dentistry more than 20 years ago, she immigrated to Canada in 2011 resuming her journey with so many achievements and success stories.
Dr. Noor is a talented dentist who has always been keen to learn, research and utilize the latest technologies and treatment techniques that would facilitate the best results for all treatments, she possesses excellent manual dexterity to perform restoration and all other procedures meticulously. Her education started with university degree in General Dentistry and Dental Surgery - Middle East, followed by Master degree in Endodontics - Jordanian University of Science and Technology, National Dental Examination Board of Canada along with many other certifications that will not stop, She has more than 13 years on field experience in Endodontics.
As an adaptable leader with proven capabilities in managing stress and critical thinking Dr. Noor has always been successful in creating and supporting the needed comfortable treatment environment for patients.
Dr. Noor lives in Oakville along with her Husband Loay and two smart sons, Adam and Jad. She mostly enjoys hiking and nature discovery trips.
Dr. Rik grew up in Vaughan and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. He is one of more than 6,000 oral health professionals to graduate from the school since 1932. He chose dentistry because it's a perfect blend of art and medicine. Dr. Rik brings a modern skillset to the office. He has extensively broadened his areas of expertise to serve you better!
A good listener, Dr. Rik gains an in-depth understanding of your wants and needs. He enjoys meeting people from all walks of life - and believes everyone has a story to tell. When you're with him, you will be comfortable sharing your concerns and fears and asking questions about the treatment process.
When he's not working closely with you to enhance your smile, Dr. Rik likes spending time with his family and friends, hiking, and working out. He has a pet goldfish named Goldie … and successfully taught her how to "floss!" Dr. Rik has mastered the art of roasting a perfect marshmallow and is also inexplicably good at rock-paper-scissors. He donates "the gift of life" - blood - every eight weeks.
