GESHER JDS

Gesher was founded in 1982 by a group of pioneering parents and such visionaries as Rabbi Sheldon and Shulamith Elster and Rabbi Arnold Fink. Together with a creative and enthusiastic teacher, Susan Koss, they organized Gesher's first kindergarten in 1982 at a local synagogue, Agudas Achim Congregation, in Alexandria, VA... Gesher is dedicated to educational excellence, an individualized approach to learning, and to providing a nurturing and exciting educational environment... Gesher JDS prepares students to live meaningful lives. In partnership with committed parents, we provide an outstanding education anchored in Jewish values that enables our children to grow into adults engaged in healthy relationships, creative work, ethical leadership, and communal involvement.
