Huber Lane Park is a 10.5 acre park acquired in in 1950, one of four parks paid for out of proceeds of a 1950 bond issue of $175,000. On July 5 2003, the park was renamed Catherine W. Crowley Park on July 5, 2003 in honor of the District's first female commissioner who served on the park board for 30 years. A field house was built in this park in 1954.
Capital improvements made at this park in 1958 were paid for with a portion of proceeds from a 1958 bond issue of $450,000.
Playground renovations were made to this park in 2000 as part of the park district's capital replacement program.

Johns Park has four outdoor volleyball courts available on a first come first served basis. Outdoor lights turn on at dusk and turn off at 10:00pm, April 1-October 30.
Johns Park is one of Glenview's largest parks and offers so much to its residents. Playgrounds, tennis courts, lighted basketball court, and a large fieldhouse, this gem on Central Road is sure to be one of your favorite warm weather destinations within the Park District.
In April of 1958, a bond issue of $450,000 was approved, making possible the acquisition and partial development of the 8.7 acre Elm Park (renamed Richard E. Johns Park in 1990 in honor of Glenview Park District General Superintendent Richard E. Johns who held that position for 34 years.)
In March of 1962, a bond issue of $685,000 was approved for purposes of park development. During 1962 and 1963, a portion of these funds made possible completion of the development of Elm (Johns) Park.
In 1963 a field house was built in Elm (Johns) Park. In 1995, the field house was renovated to add disability access.
In December 1975, a portion of a $450,000 general obligation bond issue was used to pay for the lighting of the five tennis courts and the basketball court at Elm (Johns) Park.
In December 1982, a $700,000 bond issue was approved for capital improvement projects which included adding increased parking facilities for Elm (Johns) Park in 1983.

Louis S. Cole Park is an 8 acre park named after one of the original park district commissioners. Acquired in in 1950, it is one of four parks paid for out of proceeds of a 1950 bond issue of $175,000. A field house was built in this park in 1956.
Capital improvements made at this park in 1958 were paid for with a portion of proceeds from a 1958 bond issue of $450,000.
In 1970, a general obligation bond issue of $214,000 was passed, a portion of which was used to pay for general security lighting of Cole Park.
In 1971, another general obligation bond issue of $140,000 was approved. A portion of these funds were used to add tennis courts to Cole Park.
In December 1975, the voters of the district approved a general obligation bond issue in the amount of $450,000. Projects financed by this bond included the construction of two additional tennis courts at Cole Park.
