Corbin Wood

Corbin Wood, PA-C grew up in the small town of Sugar City, ID. He completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology at Brigham Young University - Idaho. He went on to complete his medical training at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, UT, earning a Masters's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Corbin began his PA career practicing neurosurgery in Las Vegas, NV. He has now transitioned into orthopedic surgery at Hofmann Arthritis Institute and is happy to be back in Utah to continue to develop and expand his medical skills.

Dr. Aaron Hofmann - Founder

Renowned board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Aaron Hofmann, is the founder of the Hofmann Arthritis Institute. Dr. Hofmann is also the Director of the new Center for Precision Joint Replacement at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center, providing specialized surgical services to patients with arthritis in the knees, hips and shoulders. Dr. Hofmann served over 30 years at the University of Utah Department of Orthopaedics. He served as Chief of Orthopedics at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salt Lake City for 29 years. He holds 19 patents on orthopaedic devices and is a surgeon designer for hip and knee prosthesis systems. A noted speaker, Dr. Hofmann is the recipient of numerous awards, and his writings have been published in dozens of medical journals and books. A graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine, Dr. Hofmann completed his surgery internship and residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, followed by a fellowship at Montreal General Hospital. He earned a bachelor's degree in zoology from North Dakota State University and a master's in medicine from the University of North Dakota. Dr. Hofmann, former Vice Chairman of International Orthopaedics at the University of Utah, founded and oversees Operation Walk Utah, a non-profit volunteer medical service organization providing hip and knee replacements to people in developing countries. He serves on the board of directors of the Great Western Region Arthritis Foundation. Dr. Hofmann is a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and his memberships include the Knee Society, the American Orthopaedic Association, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Orthopaedic Research Society, the Society for Arthritic Joint Surgery and the Society for Biomaterials.

Dr. Alex Forrester

Dr. Alex Forrester is an orthopedic surgeon native to Texas. He was born and raised in the ranching community of West Texas. He received his B.S. in Biology from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, and his Medical Doctorate from Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. During this time, he achieved distinction as he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. He then served as an orthopedic resident at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma's only Level 1 Trauma Center. Dr. Forrester takes pride in caring for the underserved. Most recently he served with Mission for Motion in Botswana performing knee replacements on those who would otherwise not have access to this type of care. Outside of caring for patients, Dr. Forrester enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Jonathan Peterson

Dr. Jonathan Peterson is an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in arthritis treatment and joint replacement. He graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelor's degree in Spanish, with a minor in Chemistry, from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. He then went to Medical School at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI where he graduated Cum Laude with a distinction in research. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Duke University in Durham, NC. He completed his fellowship in complex joint replacement surgery at the world's largest medical center at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He specializes in treating the full range of arthritis including partial and full joint replacements, revisions, resurfacing, and modern techniques including quick-recovery, muscle sparing approaches, personalized technology, and robotics. He grew up in the Salt Lake Valley and is happy to be back in his Mountain Home after receiving education and training at some of the top programs around the country. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, golfing, cooking, and spending time with his wife and their two children.

Joshua Stam

Joshua Stam, PA-C, earned a bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science at the University of Utah. Joshua worked for several years in the laboratory helping with research and developing interpretive skills of complex body processes. He then obtained a master's of medical science from St. Francis University in Loretto, PA. He concurrently completed his physician assistant certificate from Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, MD. Joshua began his career as a physician assistant with an emphasis in surgery, treating orthopedic spine pathology, and assisting with cervical and lumbar spine surgery. Now under the mentorship of Dr. Hofmann, he continues to expand his skills and understanding of orthopedic pathology with an emphasis in joints.

Michael Blatter

Michael Blatter, DO is a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon. He received his undergraduate degree at Utah Valley University followed by a master's degree in medical health sciences and a doctorate from Touro University Nevada. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at University Hospitals in Cleveland Ohio and an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Duke University. He specializes in treating both acute and nonunion/malunion fractures in adults as well as joint reconstructive procedures of the shoulder, hip, and knee. He grew up in St. George Utah and is excited to be back in Utah with his wife and 4 boys. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports and doing outdoor activities with his family.
