Amit Kabra

Job Titles:

Amit is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years' experience in accounting and finance. During this period, his work life has taken him across Asia, Middle East and Australia working with large organisations across diverse industries ranging from banks and insurance companies to agriculture and trading businesses. For the past 5-1/2 years Amit has held senior finance leadership roles with Synergy, Western Australia's largest electricity provider, providing financial governance and stewardship. A fiscally responsible and ethical manager, he has been responsible for the planning, budgeting, forecasting and statutory reporting functions. He has also overseen the implementation of multi-million dollar ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools. Prior to Synergy, he was an Executive Director with Ernst & Young providing audit and assurance services to a number of large public and private entities in Western Australia. A father of two and an ardent cricket fan, Amit is committed about giving back to the community and making a positive difference. Amit was formally appointed to the Phoenix Board in November 2018 and brings with him solid financial expertise combined with sound commercial and business acumen.

Claudia DaSilva

Job Titles:
  • Senior Counsellor
Over the past 25 years, Claudia has worked with individuals and families, supporting relationships and providing couple's counselling. Claudia has clinical expertise in trauma-Informed practice and Family Domestic Violence. Claudia also provides Clinical Supervision. Working most of her life internationally and in Sydney, she is now a WA resident and feels strongly about giving back to her new community.

Dijana Barich

Job Titles:
  • Senior Counsellor
Dijana has over 14 years of experience in providing professional counselling and therapeutic services in a field of general counselling, family work and mental health. Over this time, Dijana has developed an integrative approach to psychotherapy, with strong emphasis in interpersonal, person - centered, psychodynamic, solution focused and trauma informed work (Polyvagal Theory & EMDR).

Gavin Bagley

Gavin's working career includes over 43 years in the Western Australian public sector with extensive experience in Information and Communications Technology (ICT), delivering services and outcomes across various government departments. Gavin holds a Professional membership of the Australian Computer Society and a Master of Business Systems. His current role is a Director of Digital Transformation which encompasses transformation of online services to the community while increasing organisational effectiveness in service delivery. Gavin is also a volunteer with St John Ambulance WA. With over 20 years of experience in senior leadership and executive capacity including his current and previous Director (Chief Information Officer) roles, Gavin's responsibilities include team leadership along with strategy development and implementation plus program, budget, risk and change management. He is a positive and inclusive leader with a strong focus on developing and supporting his team. Continuous learning and empowering others to support positive change for the benefit of clients and stakeholders is a key motivator for Gavin.

Julie Woodhouse - Chairman

Julie is recognised as a leader in the field of education and currently holds a senior leadership position as a Level 6 Principal of an Independent Public Primary School (Department of Education WA). Her primary focus in education is building capacity to ensure that all students achieve, regardless of background factors or personal circumstance.

Kaye Doolan

Job Titles:
  • Finance Officer
Kaye has over 30 years' experience in bookkeeping, and 25 years within the construction industry. Kaye also worked in Local Government for 10 years, as a Records Officer and Revenue Officer, utilising her vast experience to enhance her position with Phoenix. Kaye has customer service skills from previous work roles such as; a medical receptionist, Chiropractic Assistant and varying other retail roles within her working career, she also has experience as an Office Manager, and has enjoyed volunteering in numerous community committees over the last twenty years. Kaye enjoys working in her role at Phoenix, and being part of small team. Kaye understands the importance of our service for our clients and being able to make her contribution to ensuring they receive the best service and support. Qualifications: Cert IV Bookkeeping and Cert IV Accounting

Leanne Allison

Leanne is a legal practitioner with over 14 years' experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. She graduated from Murdoch University in 2004, having completed a Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Law. She has extensive experience representing clients in State and Federal Courts and advises on a broad range of commercial matters including Corporations Act, insolvency, contract and property, consumer and competition law, trusts and estates disputes. Leanne advises clients in the resources, construction and engineering, finance, property and health sectors as well as professional service providers, individuals and small businesses. Prior to commencing her career in law Leanne worked within the community services industry as a youth worker. Leanne is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia, Women on Boards and Women Lawyers of Western Australia.

Leanne Sultan

Leanne is retired and previously worked for the Department of Health of Western Australia for 45 years specialising in all aspects of Mental Health. Leanne previously held an Australian Health Practitioner's Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - Nurses and Midwifery Board Registration.

Louise Lamont - CEO

Louise Lamont has led Phoenix since February 2015. Previously Louise held senior positions within the not-for-profit community services sector and with State and Federal Government. Louise has worked in the human service and health fields for more than 35 years in Perth, Bunbury, and Canberra. With a passion for social justice, child protection, prevention, and early intervention, Louise began specialising in 1989 as a practitioner and clinical supervisor in work related to domestic, family, and sexual violence and the resulting trauma.

Marc Spradbury

Job Titles:

Marc has worked in the Not For Profit (NFP) sector since 2000 both as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Child Australia for 10 years, and as the Finance Manager for 7 years for the YMCA. From 2017 to current, Marc has worked on a contract basis for several NFPs and during this period has provided financial and executive support to Phoenix. Prior to his employment in the NFP sector, Marc spent 6 years in commerce and 9 years in the auditing profession (including 3 years with Ernst & Young - Botswana, South Africa). In these positions Marc has held during his career, Marc has always taken a strong hands on approach, working with finance and senior management teams to continuously build strong corporate management systems. The NFP sector has brought a tremendous amount of fulfilment to Marc both on a personal and professional level, and is an industry sector Marc continues to enjoy working in.

Monica Taylor

With 30 years' experience in the public mental health sector, both in metropolitan and rural settings, Monica holds a current Australian Health Practitioner's Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - Nurses and Midwifery Board Registration. Monica is also an assessor with the Australian Council of Health Care Standards and over her extensive leadership career has been committed to governance in organisations to ensure care is improved. Monica has completed her Masters in Health and Aged Care Management. Monica is an experienced executive of multidisciplinary teams with a sound record in fiscal, human and resource management. Monica has a strong collaboration philosophy and has a track record of leading clinical strategy. Monica has a particular interest in mentoring and supervision and gains reward from seeing individuals reach their potential. Monica is appreciative of the role that the NFP and NGO sector contribute to caring for people, which has been a key driver to be part of the Phoenix Support and Advocacy Board.

Peter Le

Peter has 20 years of legal experience, working in private practice, in house and for local government and has general commercial, corporate, property, construction and major projects experience. In private practice, Peter has worked for national, international, and top-tier law firms. Peter is a trusted advisor to many companies, not for profit organisations, charitable and sporting organisations. Peter also sits on various Boards, providing stewardship in legal, governance, risk, and compliance.

Sally Woods

Job Titles:
  • Senior Counsellor
Sally has over 20 years' experience working as a social worker and therapist both in Western Australia and the United Kingdom to help facilitate positive behaviour change with clients who have mental health and addiction related problems including depression, anxiety and complex trauma. Sally has also designed and delivered psycho-educational training for client groups and allied health professionals, covering topics such as Motivational Interviewing, Counselling skills and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Insomnia. Sally has worked for a variety of organisations including voluntary agencies, private residential settings, Edith Cowan University, the WA Drug and Alcohol Office and the UK National Health Service.
