Caroline Roemer

Caroline Roemer has more than 20 years of experience organizing, developing and managing corporate and political communications strategies and public policy initiatives with an emphasis on message development and coalition building. Born and raised in Bossier City, Louisiana, Caroline left her home in 1991 to work around the country on political campaigns, eventually founding her own consulting firm, Roemer Bell, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Clients have included mayors, congressmen, governors and Fortune 500 companies. Returning to Louisiana in 2005, Caroline became the first executive director for the Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools in the fall of 2007. LAPCS currently represents more than 90 percent of charter schools in Louisiana and is recognized as the leading advocacy organization on behalf of charter schools in the state. Caroline is a former board member of the Orleans Public Education Network and currently serves as an advisory board member for Education Research Alliance and Education Pioneers - New Orleans. She was a 2012 Pahara-Aspen Education Fellow and a fellow with Leadership Louisiana, a Council for a Better Louisiana program. She has also been recognized as one of Baton Rouge Business Report's "Forty Under 40."

Leslie Hill

Leslie Hill is an experienced government relations professional with twenty years in government, policy, and legislative affairs. Prior to coming onboard with the LAPCS team, Hill worked at the Louisiana Special School District, where she worked to pass legislation to make the district independent with an oversight board appointed by the Governor. Hill spent nine years with the Louisiana Department of Education, working with the Louisiana Legislature to pass and implement legislation to improve educational opportunities across the State. Hill has developed and maintained strong relationships by providing timely, relevant assistance to Legislators and staff, constituents, state executive branch leadership, and other important stakeholders. Prior to working at the Department of Education, Hill was the Deputy Director of a state licensing board where she worked to update the board's statutory and administrative regulations. She also worked for Congressman Bobby Jindal in constituent services for the 1 st Congressional District in the New Orleans area. Hill later worked for Luke Letlow, Special Assistant to the Governor, during the Jindal gubernatorial administration. In the Governor's Office, she made recommendations to the Governor of persons to serve on state boards and commissions and served as part of the Intergovernmental Affairs and Community Programs teams. Hill has been active in assisting with campaign races, including individuals running for governor, Congress, and sheriff. Hill is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where she was a member of the Tiger Band Color Guard and Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity. She is an alumnus of the Council for a Better Louisiana (CABL) "Leadership Louisiana" program.

Tiffany T. Crawford

Tiffany T. Crawford serves as the Grassroots Engagement Coordinator for the Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools. She has spent most of her professional life advocating and implementing educational and cultural initiatives that have helped shape the minds of young people. She believes that all children should have access to a quality education. Tiffany continues to develop programs like the Fashion Institute of New Orleans (FINO) and One Vision One Voice (OVOV) that teach youth about the business of fashion and music. Ms. Crawford understands the importance of community involvement. For over twenty-five years, Tiffany has worked in the Greater New Orleans community on various civic, community, political and professional boards. She has also worked with national, state, and local partners to build the foundation for a long term, sustainable grassroots presence for educational choice in Louisiana as well as the cultivation and training of local leaders. With a strong background in both cash and accrual accounting systems, Tiffany has been responsible for multi-fund budgets and has experience in all aspects of financial forecasting, resource allocation and fund management. She has also been responsible for strategic planning initiatives and the coordination of various projects and initiatives on behalf of the City of New Orleans and State of Louisiana. Crawford is a musician and entrepreneur she has worked with Gospel artists all over the country and enjoys being the Director of Music for Cornerstone United Methodist Church. Ms. Crawford holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Education. She is the committed wife of Kavin J. Crawford and resolute mother to Stephan L. Crawford.
