Christopher Howard

Christopher Howard, PhD, is currently the Academic Vice President at LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania. Chris has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in leadership, followership, and group dynamics. He has conducted a line of research on leadership formation that includes hardships, resilience, and character. This follows extensive experience and service with youth and young adults through Acquire the Fire, Passion One Day, Lay Renewal Ministry, HIS Life Ministry and Young Life International where he served as a US Army Civilian contractor for four years in Germany. Christopher holds a doctorate in organizational leadership from Regent University, a master's degree in business administration from Saint Louis University, and a bachelor's degree in management with a minor in marketing from Carson-Newman University. Chris has led international leadership workshops for four German Universities (Hochschule Mainz, Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, Hochschule Webersgland, and the FOM). He has conducted leadership seminars for several non-government organizations over the years in the education, humanitarian, arts, and religious sectors. Chris has also engaged in leadership development activities in 49 countries including many in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. His areas of expertise include building effective cross-cultural teams, strategic thinking, dealing with complexity, and resilient leadership.

Dr. Eglė Verseckaitė

Dr. Eglė Verseckaitė (Grzeskowiak) got her bachelor's and master's degrees from VU IIRPS and earned her Ph.D. in political science at the Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD, USA). In addition to teaching in universities, she has worked for a governmental institution, a think tank and a political party. Dr. Eglė Verseckaitė (Grzeskowiak) has a special graduate certificate in Racism, Immigration and Citizenship and gives public lectures on migration issues, as well as consulting companies on research methodology. She teaches courses on Research Methods, Politics and Economics of Migration, Nationalism and Identity, and Post-communist Studies.

Dr. Emmy Irobi

Dr. Emmy Irobi is an Assistant professor at the Department of International Relations and Development (IRD). He teaches Peace and Conflict Studies and Negotiation since 2017. Dr. Robin Gingerich is an associate professor at LCC International University in Lithuania. She currently chairs the English Department, which includes a MA program in TESOL, a BA program in English, and an intensive English program (PRIME). She also teaches TESOL courses, and writing courses in the BA program and the PRIME program. Robin has given professional development workshops for English teachers in Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Russia, Albania, Turkey, Estonia, and Congo. Her specialization is curriculum development, teacher knowledge, and TESOL methods.

Dr. Thor Sawin

Dr. Thor Sawin is a language specialist. Dr. Sawin holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of South Carolina. Currently, Dr. Sawin is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics at the Graduate School of Translation, Interpretation and Language Education at Middlebury (formerly Monterey) Institute of International Studies (MIIS), Monterey, California. Dr. Sawin previous taught German at Middlebury Language schools and at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Previously, Dr. Sawin served on the German/ English faculty at Handong Global University, and the English faculty at Yanbian University of Science and Technology in China. His research interests are language acquisition in international social impact and development settings, technology and autonomous language learning, critical multilingualism and language acquisition, organizational language acquisition policy, and multilingual practice in new media.

Geraldine Ryan

Geraldine Ryan is from New Zealand and has been teaching ESOL and training teachers to teach ESOL for 30 years. During that time she has lived and taught in Russia, East and South East Asia, and New Zealand, as well as travelling to many other countries to provide support for English teachers. She moved to Lithuania to join the faculty of LCC in August of 2021. Her particular interests lie in teaching reading and vocabulary, as well as intercultural education.

Julia Reimer

Julia Reimer is an associate professor and chair of the Contemporary Communication department. She has gained her first MA degree in Theater from Bowling Green State University, her second MA degree in Applied Theater from City University of New York and her Ph.D. in Speech Communication/Performance Studies from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. With an interdisciplinary background, her teaching at LCC has spanned such areas arts and culture, dramatic literature, community-based theater, communication research methods, and visual rhetoric. Her specializations are in cultural performance, ritual, community studies, and creative analytic practices.

Jurgita Babarskienė is an assistant professor in the department of Psychology at LCC International University. Michelle Howell

Michelle Howell graduated from Dordt University (formerly, Dordt College) in 2013 with a B.A. in Biology. She graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 2017 with a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, with an emphasis on protein chemistry and cancer biology. Her post-doctoral research centered around discipline-based curriculum development, creating learning modules with 3D-printed molecules for science education. In 2019, Michelle joined the faculty of LCC, where she teaches the intro-level and intermediate-level science classes, and is working to develop an Environmental Literacy Certificate Program at LCC with international collaborations, including some in the United Nations. When not teaching or working in the lab, Michelle enjoys biking, hiking, and instilling in her 3 children a love for the world and individuals around them.
