The Kenya Transporters Association Limited (KTA) is a business association of road transporters whose broad objective is to provide a common voice to articulate business constraints facing its members, while also contributing towards the realization of a safe, reliable, efficient, professional and environmentally friendly road freight industry in Kenya. KTA was formed in 1969 as the Kenya African Road Transporters Association (KARTA) and later re-named the Kenya Transport Association (KTA) in 1982. The association was transformed into a company limited by guarantee in 2011... KTA is steered by a team of 9 directors and 7 staff members charged with day-to-day running of the Secretariat. The Secretariat is headed by the Chief Executive Officer... We advocate for transport policies that will increase investment in freight transport business and improve profitability of the trucking industry.
