Karen Anderson

Lake Forrest Prep would not be here today without the vision of its founder, Karen Anderson. Through her determination, Lake Forrest Preparatory School has become a warm and nurturing place that fosters the education and growth of young minds. Since she was a child, her only dream was to have her "little red schoolhouse." She wanted to create a welcoming environment for young children to learn, grow, achieve, and become good citizens. She also believed that, for the children to flourish, she must have a capable and caring staff to facilitate each child's learning. Karen hand-picked many of the teachers that have become a part of our Lake Forrest Prep family, and many continue to enrich the lives of our precious students today. Although Karen is not physically here today to share in the joys at Lake Forrest Preparatory School, her legacy has continued to live on through her family, her Orlando private school staff, and most importantly, her dear students. Through her strength, generous heart, and tender touch, Karen Anderson has left such an impact on so many of us. Even today she continues to watch over our school. Jenna Kirsch, a Lake Forrest Prep alum, and formerly our Kindergarten teacher, once wrote, "She was the sunshine at Lake Forrest Prep and will be shining down on us forever and always." Founded in 1991 by Karen Anderson, LFPS has become a warm and nurturing place that fosters the education and growth of young minds.
