LIFETIME LEARNING - Key Persons

Dr. Dennis McIlroy

Dr. Dennis McIlroy (Denny) earned his Doctorate in Education, with an emphasis on effective teaching in the Real Estate classroom and has spent the better part of his life in education. He is a licensed Broker and a Certified Appraiser with years of experience to add to the classroom. The more notable projects he directed here in Springfield included a residential subdivision called "West Village", and a commercial office project known as "Evergreen Office Condominiums". He has developed and instructed real estate curriculum since 1982. As a Certified Appraiser since 1991, Denny has been deeply involved in the appraisal industry, appraisal curriculum development, and its instruction. In 1992, Denny, along with only 11 other representatives across the country, were invited to meet in Washington DC as part of a committee organized by "The Appraisal Foundation" who's purpose was to develop a curriculum guide to teach the Uniform Standards of Appraisal Practice (appraisal law). Denny also held a Lead Inspector License, as well as a Risk Assessor License in Missouri. Prior to, and during his career in Real Estate, Denny was also an Associate Professor of Psychology. Because of Denny's devotion to student success, many who have attended his classes, to this day, still call him for his input regarding issues they may encounter in the Real Estate and Appraisal industry. He founded Lifetime Learning in 1988 with his loving wife Tonda McIlroy.
