Ana Barbara

Ana is a very enthusiastic student, she is always the first to answer, she is always the first to finish her work and all projects. She is passionate about the Social Studies and that is something excellent! Also as part of the study of the global problem we made a MUN where the participation of Ana Barbara was very impressive, Buen Trabajo Ana. - Mr. Zúñiga, Social Studies Teacher Ana Barbara is a committed, kind student she is very knowledgeable about her plans to be successful and her areas to improve. Ana Barbara works hard in each of her assignments and projects to complete all assigned tasks, she participated constantly in classes, her critical analysis is deeper now, she improved the evaluations results significantly and also her lexicon enriched the reading area. Carlos Bolaños Peralta

Originally from San José, for reasons of employment, Carlos settled in Guanacaste 10 years ago and now lives in Brasilito with his family. His daughters have enjoyed La Paz for 10 years and Sofia graduated in 2018 and is currently studying Gastronomy while Isabel is in her 11th year! Carlos studied Business Administration at the Fidelitas University in San José, Costa Rica and from very early in his professional career he has worked in the hospitality industry of Costa Rica. Throughout his more than 20 years of experience he has had the opportunity to direct hotels and operate development projects of different sizes including the Hilton Papagayo, Reserva Conchal, Pacífico, and Las Catalinas. He currently enjoys the challenge of developing the DeliCafe family project with his wife Victoria and his daughters, who are actively involved.

Gabriel Chaves Ledezma - President

Gabriel is one of the founders of P&D Lawyers which specializes in Real Estate, Corporate Law, Foreign Investment, Construction and Environmental regulations and Notarial matters. A graduate of the University of Costa Rica Attorney at Law program and Notary Public since 2003, Gabriel is a Costa Rican citizen and active member of the local community. He is a Member of the Costa Rican Bar and Notarial Association, as well as a variety of other local boards. His two children have attended La Paz since preschool and his wife Lindsay is the owner and operator of Summer Coast Realty. Gabriel has been a member of the La Paz Board of Directors since 2013.

Karol Trejos

Karol has a degree in Dentistry, graduated from the Latin American University of Science and Technology (ULACIT) in San José and is co-owner of North Pacific Dental, a dental clinic where she practices and which opened its doors in the Tamarindo area in 2008. She previously worked for the CCSS. She is a member of the College of Surgeons of Costa Rica. Always ready to help others, especially people at risk, both inside and outside the school. Karol has participated in different organizations and groups in the area to assist those most in need. Her family arrived in La Paz in 2014, where since day one they have collaborated and participated in community activities.

Marcela Fernández

Marcela considers herself a happy person, a protective mother, loves her job, believes in reciprocal respect, no matter what age or economic level you are in, children, adults, seniors; all people deserve dignified, honest, and sincere treatment. Marcela has been a member of the Board of Directors for more than ten years; now, as Comptroller, she hopes to be part of a transition process to collaborate between both Campuses. The experience as a member of the Board of Directors has allowed her to see dreams, achievements, and challenges overcome together with other parents and founders, who were and are part of the continuity of an idea, whose mission and vision came to change the life of many people, especially for the Guanacaste childhood. Melissa Cerdas Madrigal - VP

An artisan and designer of Artisanal Jewelry from Costa Rica, Melissa entered La Paz with her daughter Jimena in 2018. She is currently dedicated to her Micro-business called AguaSanta. Her passions are photography, going to the beach, collecting seeds and sea glass. She directs the Blue Flag committee which seeks to improve the hygienic and environmental conditions of Playa Brasilito and is a proactive member of the community entrepreneur fair.

Omar Sancho Segura

Omar Sancho Segura is the father of Mila, who entered the La Paz school in the same year that the early childhood program was inaugurated in 2016. He is also the father of Saúl, who has just started in the Explore Children's Center program at La Paz. He holds a master's degree in Development Project Management from ICAP. He has worked at the Liberia Airport serving as station manager of a company that provides ground services to airlines, property manager at Reserva Conchal and since 2015 promoter of entrepreneurship being a founding partner of OCC Consultores that provides administration services in Reserva Conchal and other residential projects in the area. He is passionate about community volunteer work and has participated in many community projects for the social good of the area.

Rene Zahr - Treasurer

Author of the book, Deixa Eu Te Explicar Uma Coisa. Desistir Nunca, Voltar Jamais (Let me explain something to you; never give up, never return). Rene is a true global citizen who has lived in 8 different countries and traveled to almost 70. Returning to his native Brazil after his travels, Rene began a successful career in finance that has allowed him to develop the invaluable skills that he used via his volunteer work on the La Paz finance committee since 2018 and now as Treasurer of the board of directors. Rene arrived in Costa Rica in 2016 with his wife and two boys; one of whom has since graduated from La Paz.

Tatiana Echeverria Monge

Tatiana is originally from San José and decided to relocate with her husband to Guanacaste thirteen years ago. Graduated with honors from the University of Costa Rica as a dietitian (Licenciatura), is now the proud mom of an eight and a five-year-old who attend La Paz since 2019. In Guanacaste, she has worked managing properties and rental homes. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, music and the outdoors. Tatiana has dedicated many volunteer hours to the school to support nutrition education.
