All pollinators, birds, and mammals depend upon the relationship between plants and beneficial insects. Plants are the food source for all insects. The life cycle of plants depends upon certain insects to collect grains of pollen while drinking nectar. Flowers only produce seeds when a pollinator moves to a different plant to drink nectar and drops pollen on the flower. With new seeds produced each year, the life cycle continues, as plants feed the insects. Birds and mammals feed on the diversity of creatures that live among the plants.
