Methven Primary School is a decile 9, state contributing co-educational primary school (years 1-6) located near Mt Hutt in Mid Canterbury, New Zealand. We are an exciting and vibrant place for children to do their learning... We have a collaborative and innovative staff who are supported by a focused and progressive Board, a team of dedicated ‘Friends of Methven Primary School' and strong connections with whānau and community... Methven Primary School's recent growth has provided us the opportunity to build and refurbish our classroom blocks into vibrant open and collaborative learning spaces. These flexible spaces allow us to develop teaching and learning programmes that will prepare our students for their future. We integrate our Pathways to Learning: Collaboration, Hauora, Innovation, Communication & Self-Regulation (CHICS) across our programmes.
