If you are, you already know that Mat & Naddie's offers its own brand of fine dining combined with a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere that has attracted a local following since opening more than two decades ago. Fine, yet accessible, local cuisine is the watchword here. Although we do get the occasional tourist who ventures off the beaten path, Mat & Naddie's caters to its neighbors' tastes... The friendly and funky look of a roadside cafe fashioned from a nineteenth centrury pensioner's cottage does not betray how very ambitious the Creole fine dining menu is. When the weather is pleasant, diners opt for patio seating, which offers silhouettes of horseback riders on the levee behind which freighters ply their way up and down the Mississippi
