Danica Hostettler earned a B.S. in chemistry from Purdue University - Indianapolis in 1992 and a J.D., cum laude, from the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2003. Her practice presently focusses on patent litigation, advising on IP issues and supporting IP policy efforts for Canada and U.S. In recent years, her responsibilities also included SAMETA region countries (South Asia, Middle East, Turkey and Africa). Previously, she led global patent procurement efforts and provided patent counsel for small molecule and bio-product assets spanning oncology, neuroscience, and bio-medicines. Danica also served as a Six Sigma Black Belt in Lilly Legal. Before joining Lilly's Patent Division, she worked in the Lilly Research Laboratories for just over a decade.

Fernanda Beraldi worked for Inotiv, Inc. (NASDAQ: NOTV) in Indianapolis as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, and prior to that, she worked as a Senior Director, Ethics and Compliance for Cummins (NYSE: CMI). Fernanda has 19 years of legal experience, and started at Inotiv in March 2022. Before that, she worked for Cummins in Indianapolis for almost seven years in several legal and compliance roles with increased global responsibilities, and for more than 6 years for the third-largest global aircraft manufacturer, Embraer SA. She is a dual-licensed (Brazil and Indiana) lawyer from Mackenzie University in Sao Paulo, Brazil. During the Master of Laws program at Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, she served as a Spring Extern for Justice Steven David at the Indiana Supreme Court and for Eli Lilly and Company, being the first foreign student to be selected for such externships. Fernanda completed her Master of Laws program in Corporate and Commercial Law in 2015, graduating cum laude. She was also one of the commencement speakers.
In 2017, Fernanda has been selected for the inaugural LL.M. Early Career Achievement Award, granted by her American alma mater as a celebration for its 15 years of the Master of Laws Program. In 2018, Fernanda co-founded "Business Ethics Indiana", a group of Ethics & Compliance Senior Leaders in Indiana with a mission to "promote ethical business practices and provide professional development that strengthens Indiana as a business ethics center of excellence". In 2019, Fernanda has been selected, among more than 150 nominees, as one of the Top 10 "30-somethings" by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC). In 2020, Fernanda was selected by the Indianapolis Business Journal for the "Forty Under 40" 2020 class.
Fernanda is also passionate about giving back to the community in Indiana. She currently serves as a Trustee for Marian University, being a member of the Investment, and Vice-Chair of the Risk & Audit Committees, a Board Member for the IU McKinney Alumni Board, a Member for Indiana University Health's Committee of Values and Ethics, and a Board Member of the Community Advisory Board of WFYI.

Irene Victoria Massimino is a human rights lawyer, professor, and activist. She currently teaches in the Department of International Education of the National University of Tres de Febrero and at the National University of José C. Paz.
Professor Massimino has served as a Rapporteur of the Criminal Cassation Court of the Province of Buenos Aires and works actively in the fields of internal and international conflicts and serious violations of human rights and international criminal law in Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Guatemala, Bangladesh, and Iraq. She focuses mainly on external intervention and the crime of genocide.
Professor Massimino also participates in the creation of justice projects for international crimes and genocide prevention. She has served in international investigative delegations and trial observation missions.

Jim Scheidler graduated from the IU Robert H. McKinney School of law in 2013. He is currently a shareholder partner at the Reminger Co., L.P.A. law firm. Prior to attending law school, he received his Bachelor of Science from Bowling Green State University in Business Administration, where he also played football and served as team captain his senior season. Having grown up in Indianapolis, Jim is proud to call himself a lifelong Hoosier.
Mr. Scheidler concentrates his practice of law in all types of civil matters. He has widespread experience handling catastrophic damage, wrongful death, and other insurance-defense litigation that arises under general, professional and commercial liability lines. His practice is focused heavily on the defense of trucking and transportation, retail and hospitality, construction and design defect, product and premises liability cases.
He credits his success as an attorney to his father, surrounding himself with experienced mentors and litigators, and approaching the practice of law with a hardworking, selfless and competitive attitude.
In his spare time, Mr. Scheidler enjoys spending time with his family and relaxing during a sporting event. He is appreciative of his continued association with the law school and is honored to serve on the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Justice Mark Massa was named to the Indiana Supreme Court in 2012 by Governor Mitch Daniels. He is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and came to Indiana in 1979 to attend Indiana University. He graduated from IU in 1983 with a degree in journalism, and after internships at the South Bend Tribune and Milwaukee Sentinel, he joined the staff of The Evansville Press, where he was an award-winning sportswriter and covered the courts and local government. In 1985, he became a deputy press secretary and speechwriter for Governor Robert Orr; he later graduated from the evening division of the IU McKinney School of Law, clerked for Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Randall Shepard and joined the Marion County Prosecutor's Office in Indianapolis.
After serving as a Deputy Prosecutor for 15 years, including 7 years as Chief Counsel to Prosecutor Scott Newman, Justice Massa was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Indiana, where he earned the Inspector General's Integrity Award from the Department of Health and Human Services. He served as General Counsel to Governor Mitch Daniels, chaired the Alcohol and Tobacco Commission, served on the Indianapolis Marion County Police Merit Board and was Executive Director of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute prior to his appointment to the Court.
Currently, he chairs the Lake County Judicial Nominating Commission and teaches at the Indiana University McKinney School of Law.

Rachel Blakeman is the director of the Purdue University Fort Wayne Community Research Institute. She joined Purdue Fort Wayne in July 2017. At CRI she works with clients to provide impartial, contract-based research and analysis, with an emphasis on non-profit agencies, public health, economic development and workforce data, to enable leaders to make informed decisions. Additionally she is the Department of Public Policy internship coordinator.
While a student at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, she was a Program on Law and State Government Fellow. Her research was state government's role in economic development, specifically aligning employers, state government and educational institutions for advanced-manufacturing workforce development.
Blakeman, an attorney licensed in Indiana, was selected as a 2016 Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly Forty Under 40 award winner. She earned the Allen County Bar Association's Outstanding Service Award in 2015. She was also awarded the Lawrence P. Wilkins Award of Tutorial Excellence for her work as a constitutional law tutor in the Dean's Tutorial Society, in classroom and one-on-one settings.
She is a 2013 graduate of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Born and raised in Ohio, she earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from Ball State University and has called Fort Wayne home since 1999.

Todd A. Etzler, Vice President and General Counsel, is responsible for the legal and governance affairs of Horizon Bank. He also serves as Corporate Secretary for the Bank and its holding company. He served as General Counsel and VP of Public Affairs for Family Express Corporation for over five years before joining Horizon Bank. Prior to moving "in-house," he was partner in Burke Costanza & Carberry LLP, and was the practice group leader for the Business and Personal Services Practice Group and Real Estate Practice Group.
Throughout his career, Todd served many organizations and often held leadership positions. On the state and national level, he chaired the Indiana State Bar Probate, Trust, and Real Property Section and served on the State Bar's Board of Governors. By appointment of Governor Mitch Daniels, he served on the Hoosier Lottery Commission and its Audit Committee. He acted as Advocacy Chair on the Executive Committee for the Association of Corporate Counsel Law Department Management Committee and is active the ACC and the American Bankers Association and Indiana Bankers Association's public affairs and legal groups.
On the local level, Todd has held Chair/President positions for the Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce; the Valparaiso Economic Development Corporation; Valparaiso Plan Commission; Valparaiso YMCA; and his church.
As a native of Northwest Indiana, Todd and Danielle live in Valparaiso, and their children (and now a grandchild) are spread around Indiana and Oregon cities, colleges, and high schools with the family's home base in an 1893 Victorian in Valparaiso's downtown.
He is a graduate of Purdue's Construction Management program (renamed several times) and received his law degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
