William Morton has been providing commercial and corporate San Diego photography in the Southern California markets since the early 1990s. Originally focused on boudoir portraits and glamour photography, his Second Glance studio evolved to include model portfolio work and headshots for models and actors. Those model portfolios shoots eventually led to ads for Yellow Pages and local businesses - the start of his advertising photography. A few years were spent in the Long Beach and Los Angeles markets in the early 2000s. Reestablishing his business as Morton Visuals in 2009, William chose to concentrate on more corporate photography - ranging from convention photography and conference photography to volume business headshots (often photographing an entire office). See more in any of the portfolios below. Now based in North Idaho, Sandpoint photographer William Morton recently relocated from Dallas to Hope. William brings 30 years of professional photography experience to the North Idaho business community. With 14 years focused on corporate communications, and an MBA degree under his belt, William understands what businesses need to market and advertise. Originally a portrait photographer in Washington, William was transferred to Southern California (compliments of the US Navy). In that market he added model portfolio work and acting headshots to his services. Those model portfolio shoots led to yellow pages ads and magazine advertising. From bridal shop advertisements to promotional posters for Glock handguns in a local gun store, William began to get in tune with what works for business. That attention to business connected William with many larger companies and trade organizations. In 2009 convention photography and photography for conferences, annual meetings and trade shows became about half of Morton Visuals' business. Clients ranged from trade organizations to Fortune 100 corporations like Microsoft. For the last 12 years Morton Visuals has focused on corporate communications working primarily with the end users (the business itself rather than ad agencies). Upon relocating to Texas William began to photograph a lot of business headshots. These were used for everything from company websites to their LinkedIn profile photos. He would often photograph the entire office team, whether they be insurance agents, bankers, lawyers, financial advisors or other professionals. The team photography provides a consistent appearance on company websites. More photography for marketing, both in print and online, became the norm. And even some product photography livened up the mix. Most recently he has begun working with corporate video production, finding new ways to promote businesses. He has worked closely with local business, the Chamber of Commerce, and colleagues with the American Marketing Association. William has developed a keen interest in helping business promote themselves in any media. Now he's looking forward to continuing that service as a Sandpoint photographer. William Morton has covered conferences and conventions since 2004. About ½ of our work since 2009 has been professional event photography. We have covered everything from smaller company training sessions to conventions with 15,000 attendees. You'll see some examples in our Event Photography portfolio. You can see some of the extensive list of event locations where we have worked, many of which we have worked multiple times. We travel nationwide, and are able to commit to a set rate when contracting for conventions and conferences over multiple years. This means a company doesn't have to keep looking for a new photographer each time they have an event in a different city. We've probably already worked there, and we can provide consistency in your images from year to year. Morton Visuals can work with a team of experienced event photographers as needed. Because of that they are able to document simultaneous events or ensure multiple angles and viewpoints are covered. Another service Morton Visuals is able to offer is printing on-site, allowing guests to take home portraits of themselves printed on the spot. Often a sponsor underwrites this service. Because of this their logo can be added to the event name that is printed directly on the photo, providing them with ongoing advertising long after the event ends. Just another way Morton Visuals helps with marketing! Shooting professionally since 1991, William Morton has transitioned from consumer portrait photography to specializing in corporate communications. But make no doubt, as a (primarily) corporate photographer, he is still very much a people photographer. William Morton currently splits his time, so we are able to work in multiple market areas. Most of the time you'll find him in north Idaho (near Sandpoint, Coeur d'Alene, and not too far from Spokane Washington). William does still travel back to Dallas frequently - on average about once per month - and after 20+ years still serves the San Diego market!
