MUSIC AND PHILOSOPHY

Our aim is the following: To provide a distinctive, long-term forum offering opportunities for those with an interest in music and philosophy to share and discuss their work, in the hope of furthering dialogue in this area... The Royal Musical Association Music and Philosophy Study Group was first established in May 2010, after a Royal Musical Association Study Day (in association with the British Society of Aesthetics) on the topic of Music and Philosophy, held at King's College London on 20th February 2010. Following its founding, our first event was a symposium on ‘What can science tell us about musical meaning?‘, held at King's College London on 10th Nov 2010.
