John Carbonara began his career in the financial services industry in 1988 with the financial services firm, Shearson Lehman Bros. Shortly after acquiring his series 7 license in 1990, John transitioned to Ameriprise Financial Services, formerly American Express Financial Advisors. John felt fortunate to be part of a firm that focused on comprehensive financial planning. As a result of this focus, John achieved the CFP® certification in 1998. In 2003, John took his practice to the independent side of the business and was able to satisfy his desire to pursue additional financial solutions not previously available to him or his clients. Currently John Carbonara is a registered representative with Securities America Inc. and an investment advisor representative with Securities America Advisors.
On a daily basis, John relishes the opportunity to expand on his career-related education and the breadth of financial solutions available to his clients. He shares his knowledge by frequently conducting seminars for schools, corporations and non-profit groups on the subjects of 403(b) plans, retirement planning and college funding.
John feels strongly that the relationship he has with his clients is the most important ingredient in being a successful financial advisor.
John graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics from the State University College at Oneonta. A former Division I collegiate soccer player. John practices financial planning out of his office in Jericho, New York.

Maureen is in charge of our Client Relations Department, our day to day business operations and back office processing. As Client Relationship Manager, Maureen is tasked with establishing, maintaining, and enhancing the relationship between our advisors and clients. She can provide assistance with account questions, research and specific requests. Maureen enjoys speaking with our clients, so don't hesitate to call.
Prior to joining NxtPhase Financial Services, Maureen worked in the graphic design business, and ran her own website design company. A fifth-generation New Yorker, Maureen currently lives on Long Island with her husband and two children.
