OIP

OIP comprises of the Office of International Students and Scholars, which receives and supports students and academics coming to Metro Detroit; the Office of Study Abroad and Global Programs, which assists Wayne State students pursuing an educational experience outside the United States; and the English Language Institute, an intensive program that prepares non-native English speakers for academic and social success. The Office of International Programs also assists WSU students with identifying and applying for fellowships opportunities through its Office of Fellowships. OIP also manages the recruitment of international students into undergraduate and graduate programs at WSU, establishes international partnerships between WSU and universities abroad, and has proudly hosted a variety of federally-sponsored international summer programs, such as the Fulbright Gateway Orientation and the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders...
