MWALIMU NYERERE FOUNDATION

The Mwalimu Nyerere Foundation (MNF) was established under the Trustees Incorporation Act (CAP 375) on 14th June 1996 as a permanent tribute to Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere's contribution to improving the quality of human relations and development of mankind. The Mwalimu Nyerere Foundation is an intellectually and politically independent body that is not affiliated to any political party or government. The Foundation works to promote Peace, Unity and People Centred Development in Africa and the world through justice for all. It also promotes Mwalimu Nyerere's belief and philosophy in the fundamental principle that all human beings are equal regardless of their differences and that humanity is one. That the human being is the purpose and justification for the existence of society. This is to say that people are fundamental to any process of development in society.
