Dr. Ghulam Baqir Malik

Dr. Baqir, currently serving as General Manager (Commercial) at OGDCL, holds a PhD in Management Sciences from NUML Islamabad. He began his distinguished career with OGDCL in March 1988 in the Finance & Accounts Department. During his tenure, Dr. Baqir played a pivotal role in modernizing the organization's operations. As a key member and coordinator of the Oracle Financials Project, he led its successful deployment across multiple locations. His expertise also extended to the Tax Department, where he facilitated the first-ever e-filing of company tax returns in the Exploration & Production (E&P) industry-a significant milestone. Recognized for his leadership, Dr. Baqir was entrusted with the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). He spearheaded the implementation of critical modules and policies, enhancing the organization's HR capabilities. Since 2020, Dr. Baqir has been an integral part of the Commercial Department. His achievements include successfully negotiating and finalizing long-standing Gas Sale Purchase Agreements (GSPAs) with SNGPL and SSGC. He is also driving the implementation of the SAP Sales & Distribution Module, streamlining the sale of crude oil, gas, and LPG, thereby improving operational efficiency.

Mr. Ahsan Ali Shaikh

Mr. Ahsan Ali Shaikh assumed the charge of the Production Directorate in April 2025, in addition to serving as AGM (Production). He began his career at OGDCL as an Assistant Engineer (Production) in May 1993 after earning a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. Mr. Shaikh is a seasoned and results-driven petroleum engineer with over 32 years of diverse experience in production operations and field management across the Northern and Southern regions. He has expertise in well testing, completions, coil tubing, nitrogen kickoffs, stimulations, strategic planning, budgeting, and field development. His proficiency in technical and management skills has significantly enriched the company. He currently leads a dedicated production optimization group focused on enhancing OGDCL's production through advanced technological solutions. Mr. Shaikh is a member of PEC and SPE. His extensive experience, continuous learning, leadership, and proactive approach to employing advanced technologies positioned him a valuable asset to Company and driving force behind strategic initiatives.

Mr. Atif Ghafoor Mirza

Mr. Atif Mirza is a senior management professional and commercial & planning strategist with several years of progressive and quantifiable success in assets delivery, leading joint ventures, commercial management, business development, and investment governance with one of the global super major energy company BP, plc. He spearheaded assets, involving upstream & midstream Joint Venture operations and major development projects in BP's global portfolio with a CAPEX of $10 billion-plus, annual operating costs of $ 400 million, and significant production. He has remained as a Chair and BP management representative of several JV operating Committees of BP-operated and non-operated upstream & midstream oil and gas assets in the North Sea region. He has represented various critical senior-level JV and government relationships on behalf of BP and has been responsible for managing the transition of pre-and post-sale of assets. He has conceptualized life of area development plans and strategies to drive commercial success in line with the organizational objectives. He has held several senior positions during his 22 years plus career. He successfully led major JV & third-party negotiations and gained strong expertise in cross-functional integration, agreement management, investment governance, planning & performance, team leadership, portfolio management, and capability development in senior leadership roles. Mr. Imdad Ullah Bosal

Mr. Imdad Ullah Bosal is a career civil servant with over 28 years of experience in key administrative and policy making positions in the Government of Pakistan. Before joining as Finance Secretary on May 19, 2023, Mr. Imdad Ullah Bosal has held important positions of Secretary, Industries & Productionand Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). He has also worked as Additional Secretary (Expenditure) and Additional Secretary (Banking/Investment/Inter-governmental Finance) in Ministry of Finance in the years 2020-2022. Mr. Imdad Ullah Bosal has also served as Secretary to the Chief Minister Punjab, Special Secretary Finance (Punjab) and as Commissioner of two important regions of Punjab i.e. Rawalpindi and Lahore. Mr. Imdad Ullah Bosal is a result oriented leader with expertise in public finance, public administration and political economy. He is a dynamic government servant with direct understanding of governance systems and political economy of Pakistan. He has done Masters of Public Policy from Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford and M.Sc in Political Economy of Development (Distinction) from School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. He has been awarded national award of Sitara-e-Imtiaz for recognition of his contribution in public service by the Government of Pakistan.

Mr. Jahanzaib Durrani

Mr. Jahanzaib Durrani is a practising lawyer and an Advocate of the High Court. He holds LLM degrees in International Financial Law from King's College London and Oil, Gas, and Mining Law from Nottingham Law School, UK. In addition to civil and corporate commercial matters, Mr. Durrani has extensive experience in taxation and construction matters involving FIDIC agreements. He represents various clients before various forums regarding antidumping laws, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate crimes. He has been appointed by the Government of Pakistan to serve as an Independent Director on the boards of Saindak Metals Limited (SML) and Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), the national Oil & Gas Company of Pakistan and the flagship of the country's E&P sector. He is also a member of the Human Resource Committee of OGDCL and the Chairman of the Risk Management and Security Committee. Besides this, he also serves as the Chairman of the SML Audit and Risk Management Committee and is a member of SML's Procurement and Technical Committee. Mr. Durrani began his legal career with ABS & Co., an internationally renowned law firm. He has been extensively involved in the preparation of claims, counter-claims and communication of documents in relation to a significant ICSID arbitration involving the Government of Balochistan and an Australian mining company. The case ranks as one of the largest mining disputes brought before an arbitral tribunal in recent memory. Mr. Durrani then joined the Conflict Law Centre (CLC) at the Research Society of International Law (RSIL), Pakistan's leading think tank on international law. During his career, he was crucial in developing critical documents on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) for the Pakistani Government and Armed Forces. Additionally, he has been involved in training public prosecutors and has drafted a toolkit on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism laws. He has also served as a visiting faculty member at the National Defence University, Islamabad. During his time in the United Kingdom, he worked as a legal assistant in the House of Lords. Mr. Jahanzaib Durrani hails from Quetta, Balochistan. He contributes to national newspapers as an opinion writer. He is a certified director by IBA as per SECP requirements.

Mr. Shami is an accomplished IT & Telecom professional with over 25 years of diverse experience in managing IT operations in (IT, telecom, software, textile, retail, health care and energy) sectors. Mr. Momin Agha joined Oil and Gas Development Company as director on August 22, 2023. He is also member of Board Human Resource and Nomination Committee. An officer of Pakistan Administrative Services, Mr. Agha has rich professional experience, spanning over 27 years, including senior level administrative and managerial as well as leadership responsibilities. These include Commissioner Faisalabad Division and secretary of various provincial departments and Additional Chief Secretary. At the federal level, he has served at Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Industries and Production. Recently, he has been appointed as Additional Secretary (Incharge), Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division). Mr. Agha has obtained a master's degree in globalization & labour studies from University of Warwick, United Kingdom. Mr. Muhammad Aamir Salim

Mr. Muhammad Aamir Salim currently serves as the Executive Director (Petroserv) at OGDCL, a position he has held since August 2019. With a distinguished career spanning 26 years in the oil and gas industry, he has made significant contributions to the sector and OGDCL. In addition to his role at OGDCL, Mr. Salim represents OGDCL on the Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) Board of Directors since April 2023, where he serves as a Non-Executive Director and member of the Investment, Technical and ESG Committees. Mr. Salim's started his career in 1996 with Schlumberger Sedco Forex and worked in various operational and engineering roles across countries such as Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia & UAE. He has taken progressive leadership roles throughout his career. Notably and prior to joining OGDCL Mr. Salim spent eight years with Arabian Drilling Company, a Schlumberger Joint Venture, where he held senior leadership positions in Operations Management, Offshore Rigs Construction Projects, Corporate HSE, and Operations Compliance. His contributions were instrumental in the company's growth and success. Mr. Salim holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. He has also completed an Executive MBA from the London Business School, London. He currently also serves on the Petroleum Engineering advisory board of NED University of Engineering & Technology.

Mr. Mohammad Anas Farook is a qualified Chartered Accountant & ACCA and is currently serving as CFO. He holds more than 20 years of diversified corporate and audit experience in the oil and gas industry in both the Middle East and Pakistan. He has served in various leadership roles during his professional career with renowned organizations like British Petroleum, Baker Hughes, PWC, etc. Besides possessing a proven financial and commercial skillset, he has also contributed towards managing duty holder contracts, building regional KPI's, cost optimization initiatives, implementing ERP and also served as Incident Manager of the Sajaa Asset managed by Petrofac.

Mr. Muhammad Riaz Khan

He has served as Managing Director/CEO of Oil & Gas Development Company Limited. During his tenure in the year 2013-14, the company produced highest Barrel of Oil Equivalent (BoE). It's a record till date and he wish that it should be broken soonest possible. He has graduated from UET, Lahore in Petroleum and Gas Engineering. He has over 30 years of high and diversified experience in the oil and gas sector, especially in petroleum engineering, production, joint ventures, contract negotiations, leadership/managerial skills and HRM. He has supervised execution of several critical oil & gas field development projects. He has attended extensive advance courses on Management, Production, Project Development and Petroleum Economics in USA, Canada and Oxford, UK. He has also attended conferences and seminars, inland and overseas. Mr. Zafar Abbas

Mr. Zafar Abbas is a career civil servant who joined the Government of Pakistan in 1998. He has experience of working in economic and energy ministries dealing with policy formulation and implementation, internal cooperation for development, project management. Prior to assuming his responsibilities at the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), he has served as Additional Secretary (Power Finance) for two years in Power Division and Additional Secretary, Finance Division for a short period.
