Anna E. Schoenbaum

Anna Schoenbaum, DNP, MS, RN-BC, FHIMSS is the Associate Vice President of Information Services Applications at Penn Medicine. Anna has 30+ years of healthcare and 20 years of informatics and health technology experience. Anna started her career as a pediatric intensive care nurse, and quickly moved into management. Throughout her career, Anna held roles leading digital transformation initiatives and providing system support for complex health systems (clinical applications, health information exchange, population health, patient experience, operations engineering, performance improvement). Her current efforts are primarily focused on providing the strategic direction in the EHR system and further developing digital healthcare. Anna earned a Doctorate in Nurse Practice and Master of Science in Informatics at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Schoenbaum is board certified in informatics and is a fellow member of Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS). She is also an active member of HIMSS, HIMSS Nursing Informatics Committee, HIMSS Social Determinants of Health Taskforce, and Maryland HIMSS Board of Directors. Dr. Schoenbaum serves on faculty at the University of Maryland School of Nursing and sits on the Nursing Informatics Advisory Board. She is also a visiting professor at Chamberlain University.

John P. Donohue

John P. Donohue is the Vice President of Entity Services at Penn Medicine, Information Services. John is responsible for leading the Entity Services group; which includes a number of seasoned technology executives, as well as the onsite teams that support Penn Medicine's many entities. These entity technology groups are responsible for managing the business and facilitating the technology relationship between Operations and Information Services. Each entity group is comprised of an Entity Information Officer and resources that support clinical engineering, platform, and network technology at the entities. Additionally, John is the IS executive driving technology innovation for the construction of the new patient pavilion project, which is expected to open in late 2021. Mr. Donohue is a seasoned health care IT Executive with over 30 years of experience which includes: extensive senior executive and customer interaction, understanding complex business requirements, identifying technology solutions, developing and executing IT strategic plans. He is recognized as a proactive leader who builds and develops high performance teams that are committed to excellence in the delivery of IT services and solutions. Prior to joining Penn Medicine, John held IT vice president roles at both Covance (a $4 billion Clinical Research Organization) and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (Number one ranked Pediatric Hospital in the country). John holds a BS in Business Management from University of Phoenix.

Michael Restuccia - CIO, SVP

Michael Restuccia is the senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) at Penn Medicine. Restuccia has over thirty years of healthcare information technology experience and has worked nearly all his career in the healthcare information technology provider, vendor and consulting services industries. Highlighting notable accomplishments through his tenure as senior vice president and CIO, Penn Medicine has achieved many advances in healthcare technology: Most recently in 2020, Restuccia led his team to achieve full integration of telemedicine through the health system, running in a business as usual fashion prior to the escalated demand thrust upon the industry due to the strike of COVID-19. Operations were quickly organized to support the enterprise during this national pandemic including; an expansive command center to field organizational needs, swiftly enabling a remote workforce capacity and preparations to open Penn Medicine's HUP East hospital 18 months early for patient care, standing up technology supporting patient testing of the virus, and leading technology project management for related research initiatives. Awards from P.A.C.T. for technology support of advancements made in immune health, Future Edge 50 award for our EHR Genetics module implementation, and SC2020 Best Security Team achievements demonstrate our organization as an industry leader in progressive technology innovation.
