PARK TREAD

Park Tread® material is made from quarried shale/chert processed specifically to meet durability standards required for trails, roads, and parking lots. Park Tread® has been tested by laboratories and has been used on projects for the National Park Service, California State Parks, and County/Regional Parks. Park Tread's ability to exceed the requirements for firmness, stability, and texture make it an accessible surfacing material, used to meet trail guidelines on AGODA (Accessibility Guidelines for Outdoor Developed Areas) and ABAAS (Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Standard). Park Tread® maintains its structural reliability and visual appearance in high traffic areas including parking lots, multi-use trails, staging areas, picnic grounds, and equestrian environments. Park Tread® has a high tolerance for harsh weather conditions ranging from freezing temperatures to extreme heat.
