Amelia Maree

Previously a teacher at PIPS Kowloon. Amelia was born and raised in Namibia. She completed her studies in South Africa before moving to Hong Kong three years ago. During her pursuit of a career in education, she obtained a Btech in Fine Arts, as well as her PGCE from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Since then, she spent seven insightful years teaching a variety of age groups. In the process she discovered her passion for early childhood education. She endeavours to make learning fun and engaging, and attempts to instil a sense of creativity and curiosity in each child.

Anita Tsui

Before relocating to Hong Kong, Ms Anita worked as a kindergarten teacher in a star-rated provincial-level school after graduating in mainland China specialising in Early Childhood Education. A registered teacher in Hong Kong, she has completed a comprehensive amount of IB teacher training. Throughout her time at PIPS, Ms Anita has served as a Chinese class teacher for a variety of levels. Ms Anita seeks to encourage children to be proactive and independent enquirers, while guiding them towards being caring and cooperative in group activities. Ms Anita believes that, with joint effort between home and school, children at PIPS will become pillars of society who take pride in shouldering social responsibility, as well as possessing the ability to think critically. Anny Yang

Ms Anny graduated specialising in Early Childhood Education in the year 2000, and has been working as a qualified teacher in Kindergartens in both mainland China and Hong Kong since then. Ms Anny believes that each child is unique and adorable. While teaching and learning, she strives to become each child's personal guide, leading them by scaffolding their knowledge and equipping them with the skills and understanding necessary to become strong and independent inquirers. Arianne Baldesimo

Ms Arianne is originally from the Philippines and she has spent most of her life in Hong Kong. This unique background has greatly influenced her teaching style which she has developed over the last 20 years. Ms Arianne holds numerous certifications in Education, including a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Hong Kong Metropolitan University and a BA in Early Childhood Education with honors from Hong Kong Education University. Drawing inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach and IB PYP curriculum, Ms Arianne strives to create an inclusive learning environment that not only brings nature into the classrooms, but encourages children to embrace their individuality and respect others. With experience teaching across various age groups, Ms Arianne possesses a deep understanding of the educational landscape in Hong Kong. Currently, she is dedicated to the Under 2s programme, offering guidance to parents and caregivers on fostering engaging and meaningful experiences in the classroom that can be replicated at home. In her leisure time, she enjoys exploring Disneyland, reading books, and organizing Community Outreach initiatives.

Astro Wong

Ms Astro is originally from the Yunnan province in mainland China. Studying in Sydney, Australia, she specialised in Early Childhood Education. Since moving to Hong Kong Ms Astro has been working in an international pre-school setting for over 14 years. Ms Astro is a mother of two. She is very enthusiastic about education and always seeks to continue gaining knowledge and understanding. She believes that the early childhood stage has the most significant impact on each child's future development. Close

Bernadette Flores

Bernie is of Filipino descent but born and raised in Hong Kong. Growing up in a musical family ignited a passion for music, setting her afoot into a career in the music industry, which progressed into vocal coaching and teaching choirs, and finally education. With more than 16 years of experience in preschool education, Bernie has taught in prominent local kindergartens, continuously incorporating singing and music into her classes. Having a genuine love for children, Bernie is also a mother of four - two girls and two boys. She is dedicated to helping children achieve their goals while motivating their enthusiasm to learn. In her spare time, Bernie teaches a children's choir at a local church and volunteers in a music ministry for the church's teen peer support group. She also loves cycling, aquascaping and teaching new tricks to her family's pet birds.

Cheryl Lau

Cheryl was raised in international schools in Hong Kong starting with her Pre-Nursery education in PIPS Hong Kong back in 1997. As Cheryl was brought up in a loving and interactive school setting, it fostered her passion in learning and positive character. She eventually wanted to become an early childhood teacher to spread the same love and culture she received to more children. As a PIPS' alumni, Cheryl looks forward to serving as a teacher here where education is holistic and highly student-led creating impactful learning experiences for children. Aside from teaching in Hong Kong, Cheryl has also taught in Mainland China, Brazil and Cambodia working with local children diagnosed with HIV aids and special needs children. On her side time, Cheryl enjoys baking, playing badminton, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Chloe Robinson

Ms Chloe grew up in Hong Kong before moving to the UK to pursue a degree in Childhood Studies at Bristol University, shortly followed by a PGCE at University College London. Ms Chloe spent a few years as an educator teaching in England, before returning to Hong Kong as an early years teacher. Through her studies and her teaching, Ms Chloe has continued to grow her passion for learning, firmly believing in the epistemology of child-led learning and using the environment as the ‘third teacher'. Ms Chloe fosters a warm and nurturing classroom environment and looks to develop strong and trusting relationships with the people around her. When she isn't teaching, Ms Chloe enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and engaging in creative activities both indoors and out!

Connie Lau

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Connie has been in the early childhood field for ten years in kindergarten classrooms and received her post graduate diploma in Early Childhood Education after she obtained her Bachelor of Commerce Degree. Connie is motivated, caring and enthusiastic about learning various teaching methods. She has developed a passion for inquiry-based learning and believes that every child is competent and full of potential. She is passionate about teaching because she loves seeing smiles on their children's faces when they learn something new and watch them grow. Don began his career in the music industry before becoming a full-time teacher with a Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education. He has 18 years of experience, from working in primary schools briefly before mainly teaching in kindergartens in Hong Kong. Don grew up in Hong Kong as a child who studied in ESF international schools and believes that quality early childhood learning experiences shape children to be positive learners in their future. Jasmine Sou

Jasmine Sou is from Vancouver, Canada. She obtained a PGDE qualification in Baptist University after finishing her university degree in University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Jasmine has been teaching for more than nine years now in kindergartens with various teaching methods. She believes that every child is unique with different learning style and pace. Everyone has their own talents and potentials. She enjoys interacting with children and actually learning from them. In her spare time, Jasmine enjoys spending time in the kitchen experimenting with baking recipes.

Jessica Chan

Jessica was born in Hong Kong and emmigrated to Vancouver, Canada when she was three years old. Later on, she emmigrated to Washington, (USA) to complete her Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Sociology. After her return to Hong Kong in 2012, Jessica began her journey as a teacher. Jessica discovered her love for early years education which inspired her to pursue her TEFL and Master's Degree in Education from The University of Hong Kong. Jessica has achieved grade 10 Piano and a certificate for working with dyslexic children. Jessica enjoys reading crime fiction. She enjoys cooking and baking all manner of sweet treats, believing that the best way to bond is through good food, especially desserts.

Jodi Robertson

Jodi was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in dramatic arts. After graduating, she moved to the United States to teach drama, which is where her passion for teaching began! After two years she decided to move to Hong Kong and started working as an English teacher working with children of a variety of ages. Jodi decided to complete her Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and has been working as a class teacher in kindergarten ever since. A passionate teacher committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, Jodie always looks for ways to encourage children's holistic growth and development. Jodi is known for her singing and dance parties, her crazy hair, and her love for messy play! She is looking forward to being a part of your child's learning journey in the upcoming school year. Johanna Louwrens

Ms Johanna is originally from South Africa and she has demonstrated a remarkable academic and professional journey. After completing her undergraduate studies, she pursued a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Vincent Pol University in Poland. It was during her time working at Summer camps in Poland that Ms. Johanna discovered her joy for teaching English; a passion that inspired her to work towards obtaining her PGCE (Post-Graduate Certificate in Education) through distance learning. Throughout her time in Hong Kong, Ms Johanna has found immense joy in teaching young learners. As a teacher from our PIPS Kowloon campus, Ms Johanna is familiar with the IB frameworks and teaching philosophies. She fosters a learning environment where her students thrive through enriching learning experiences.

Joms Ortega

Joms is a dedicated Kindergarten teacher with a passion for creating a warm and engaging learning environment for young children. Of Filipino descent, he has been an educator in Hong Kong for 14 years, specializing in Early Years education for 12 years. Joms brings a wealth of experience in teaching children aged 1-6. He firmly believes in the power of learning through play and has taught in international schools that have familiarised him with both the British EYFS and the IB systems. Outside of the classroom, Joms is also a talented Musical Theatre performer, with over a decade of experience in local productions and children's shows across the city. His love for singing and dancing often shines through in his interactions with children, fostering a joyful and interactive learning environment that creates memorable experiences for his students.

Justyna Rundle

Justyna is originally from Poland and lived in both the UK and in India for the past 20 years, before moving to Hong Kong. She obtained an Open BA degree from the Open University where she studied Early Years, Psychology of Childhood and Youth, and Forensic Psychology. Justyna has been working in various Early Years settings in the UK for the past 18 years. She is passionate about children's learning and development. In particular Justyna believes in learning through play, through which she seeks to empower young children, helping them to become more confident, make good choices, and learn from their experiences. In her spare time, Justyna loves cycling, hiking, and exploring Hong Kong.

Karen Zhou

Ms Karen graduated from the Hunan University of Humanities, Science And Technology in her hometown, majoring in Early Childhood Education. Before joining our team, she has been working in an early childhood setting in Hong Kong for more than a decade. Ms Karen teaches the Under 2's accompanied programme, as well as the trilingual classes here at PIPS. Her lessons are filled with interesting activities for young learners and she always seeks to keep children engaged by promoting an upbeat and positive atmosphere. Close

Ms Katniss has been working in early childhood education since the completion of her Post Graduate Diploma of Education. As a native Cantonese speaker, she is very happy and thankful for the opportunity to share her first language with her students. Ms Katniss enjoys meeting children from different backgrounds and cultures, and seems to create fond memories together through play-based learning and exploration in an exciting and dynamic environment. She believes learning is a marathon rather than a sprint, and requires patience and resilience. Lois grew up in Houston, Texas before moving to Hong Kong in 2019. She has experience working in a variety of educational settings including local and bilingual kindergartens. Lois seeks to help children in reaching their full potential through a tailored approach to teaching. Melissa Ching

Ms. Melissa is a dedicated educator with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from California State University, Sacramento. With over eight years of experience in both international and local kindergartens in Hong Kong, she has developed a strong belief in learning through play, inquiry, and hands-on experiences. Additionally, Ms. Melissa has five years of experience working in a social work center with children with diverse needs. As a caring teacher, she is passionate about helping children realise their potential. Miki Okada

Ms Miki is half Japanese, half Filipino, and was born and raised in Hong Kong. She holds a degree in psychology and a master's in education from University of Hawaii at Manoa, United States. Since 2016, Ms Miki has worked in both local and international schools in Hong Kong, primarily focusing on early childhood education. She believes that learning and exploring through play can spark a natural and genuine love for learning, both inside and outside of school. Recognising that each child learns in their own unique way, Ms Miki emphasises the importance of flexibility and adaptability in guiding their educational journeys. Inquiring about the world is something that both students and teachers can investigate and learn together. She is a strong advocate for social-emotional learning, helping children understand and regulate their emotions while developing essential social and problem-solving skills. Rebecca Johnston

Rebecca is from England and Hong Kong. Robyn Mouton

Robyn comes from the beautiful city of Cape Town, often called the ‘Mother City' of South Africa, and completed her bachelor's degree in Humanities at the nearby University of Stellenbosch. Throughout her studies, she had the wonderful opportunity to work with children of all ages, volunteering in underprivileged communities with YMCA and Scripture Union South Africa. A desire to live life with passion gave Robyn the confidence to pack her bags and move to Hong Kong, where she has since been teaching children of all ages. Robyn firmly believes that every child is a unique individual, filled with endless potential and curiosity. Tina Ng Thursby

Tina is from the U.K., where she qualified as a Nursery Nurse (N.N.E.B.). Prior to teaching, she worked as a nanny, and in the marketing and Human Resources industry. Her teaching career began in Hong Kong, working in international kindergartens with students aged from one to five years old. In 2013, Tina joined PIPS Kowloon, and has been teaching children aged one to two years old in the Under 2's Programme class. As a parent and Early Years educator, Tina values an inclusive classroom that provides opportunities for young children to learn through play-based learning, inquiry and meaningful experiences. She looks forward to creating an active community of learners, in an environment that fosters growth and independence. She has taught Mandarin in many well-known kindergartens. She holds a Master's Degree in Child and Family Education from the Education University of Hong Kong. 張梅 老師來自中國北京。在香港教育大學畢業,專修幼兒教育,持有學位教師教育文憑的資歷,並在國家語委普通話水平測試中考獲二級甲等的成績。張老師從事幼兒教育13年之久,教學經驗豐富,曾在香港數間知名的國際幼稚園任教,擔任普通話班主任的職務。 張老師認為每位孩子都是獨一無二的,透過每天與孩子的相處,了解尊重孩子間的個別差異,協助並與孩子一起快樂地成長,是張老師最樂見且享受的過程。 Ms Virginia (Zhang Lao Shi) is from Beijing. Since graduating from The Education University of Hong Kong, where she specialised in Early Childhood Education, Ms Virginia has accumulated over 13 years of experience teaching Putonghua with a level 2-A proficiency in the National Putonghua Proficiency Test. Ms Virginia worked in a number of reputable international kindergartens in Hong Kong before joining PIPS. Ms Virginia believes that every child is unique. She deeply appreciates the opportunity to spend quality time with each child every school day. While getting to know and respect each child as an individual, Ms Virginia seeks to nurture and help each of them grow and develop strength and independence.

Xavier Wright

Since a young age, music has been an integral part of Xavier's life. With a passion for flute and singing, Xavier has a string of accolades including grade 8 in singing and flute with further qualifications in theory of music. Xavier has sung professionally in choirs around the world, from singing in the Vatican city for the Pope's inauguration to singing in the world famous King's College Chapel in Cambridge. Xavier has always dreamed of sharing his love of music with the future generation and came to Hong Kong to pursue this dream teaching in some of the city's most prestigious schools. Xavier strives to inspire his students to appreciate music in a fun and inspiring environment. He believes that the immeasurable reach and influence of a teacher develops a passion for learning that changes the world for the better, one life at a time.

Yanni Wang

王老師畢業於南開大學,其後在香港大學教育學院進修教育專業普通話證書,學習成績優異,更在國家語委普通話水平測試中取得一級乙等的佳績。王老師自2015年起,在港從事幼兒普通話教學的工作,經驗豐富。 投身教育事業的多年間,王老師堅持從學生的性格和喜好出發,引導和啓發學生投入語言學習,享受課堂。她深信優質的雙語教育會令孩子們終身受益。 在閑暇時間,王老師喜歡做運動和聽音樂。 Ms Yanni graduated from Nankai University and achieved Grade One, Level B in the National Putonghua Proficiency Test. She also holds a Professional Certificate in Putonghua Teacher Training with Distinction from the Faculty of Education of The University of Hong Kong. Since 2015, she has been teaching Mandarin Chinese while working in both kindergartens and language training centres. Over the past eight years, Ms Yanni has sought to guide and inspire students in language learning based on their individual personalities and preferences, and believes that high-quality bilingual education will benefit children for life. In her spare time, Ms Yanni enjoys sports and music.

Yuen Man Ho

Ms Ho specialises in teaching Putonghua and has experience working as a Chinese teacher at a variety of reputable kindergartens around Hong Kong. She adopts a professional, flexible and fun approach to conduct unit learning and tries to ensure that her classrooms have a comfortable and cheerful atmosphere in which students can flourish. Zeng Lao Shi

Zeng Lao Shi graduated from The Hong Kong Education University in 2005, and has been working in Early Childhood Education ever since. Teaching young learners in both Hong Kong and Taiwan, she has gained a wealth of experience. Despite the passing years, Zeng Lao Shi's passion towards teaching remains as strong as ever.

Zhao Lao Shi

Zhao Lao Shi graduated from The Hong Kong Baptist University with a Master's Degree in Chinese Language, and went on to earn a PGDE at The Hong Kong Education University. She has over 10 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, with extensive experience teaching Putonghua to young children in both local and international school settings. Before joining PIPS, Zhao Lao Shi taught in a school following the IB curriculum for seven years and gained a comprehensive understanding of the framework and methodology. She firmly believes that every child is unique. As a teacher, she strives to provide a positive and safe learning atmosphere in order to encourage children to confidently explore and express themselves, as well as to achieve their full potential.

Zoe Hess

Zoe was born in Wales in the United Kingdom before moving at a young age to Hong Kong with her family where she attended ESF. Despite winning a place at the prestigious Musician's Institute in Los Angeles, career opportunities in Hong Kong and beyond kept Zoe busy, with music and teaching always at the forefront. After time spent living in Australia and then the United Kingdom, Zoe decided to return to Hong Kong with her own family. Zoe continues to incorporate her love of language, music and child-centred exploration into her practice as an early years educator. In her free time, Zoe likes to play music with her husband, spend time with her three children and lift weights to stay strong and active.
