Mr Clarence Pace, MD,BChD, MFDSRCS, MRCS,FRCS (OMFS)(Eng) graduated as a dental surgeon in 1999 from the University of Malta (B.Ch.D). After having worked in the dental department at St. Luke's University Teaching Hospital for two years, Mr Clarence Pace subsequently took up a post as a Senior House Officer in Oral Medicine & Oral Surgery at the University Teaching Hospital of Glasgow in Scotland following which he was awarded the Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (M.F.D.S.R.C.S). After having taken up the post as the Dental Surgeon responsible for the Dental Emergency Department at St. Luke's Hospital, he began the Medical undergraduate degree at the University of Malta (M.D) which he completed in 2005. He underwent foundation training for two years covering General Medicine, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery and was also appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Anatomy in the University of Malta.
In 2007, Mr Pace was appointed as a Specialist Registrar in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the South Yorkshire & South Humber in the UK covering a number of University Teaching Hospitals including Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, Rotherham and Chesterfield during which time he completed the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (M.R.C.P.S). Following the completion of specialist training, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (F.R.C.S{OMFS}). In February 2013, he was appointed as a Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon / Head & Neck Cancer at The James Cook University Teaching Hospital in Middlesbrough, UK and subsequently in 2015 was appointed as a Consultant at Mater Dei Hospital in Malta. He obtained a vast amount of expertise in dento-alveolar surgery, surgery related to craniofacial trauma, Head & Neck cancer surgery, skin surgery, TMJ surgery and orthognathic (Facial Deformity) surgery amongst others. In 2013 he completed the Certificate in Management and Leadership from the Brighton Business School of Management.
Mr. Clarence Pace has published in several peer reviewed journals including Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, British Dental Journal and Dental Update and received rewards for best published article from the Australian Dental Journal. He currently occupies the post as an Examiner with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Senior Lecturer with the University of Malta.

Mr. Duncan Aquilina MD, MRCS(Eng.), EBOPRAS, is a leading Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon Specialist in Malta with a special interest in facial rejuvenation, cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring surgery and skin cancer surgery.
He started his training in Malta, and then progressed to higher training at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland, where he completed his training and gained experience in microsurgery reconstruction techniques.
After completion of his training Mr. Aquilina travelled to Rio De Janeiro to undergo a cosmetic fellowship at the world-renowned Clinica Pitanguy. During his fellowship, Mr. Aquilina worked with Mr. Ivo Pitanguy, arguably the best known cosmetic surgeon in the world at the time.
Mr. Aquilina is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of London MRCS (Eng.), and a fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (EBOPRAS).

Mr. Matthew Borg, MD, MRCS(Eng), EBOPRAS is a leading Plastic, Reconstructive and Plastic surgeon in Malta with a special interest in breast surgery, body contouring surgery and skin cancer.
Mr. Borg is a distinguished member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeons.
Currently, Mr. Matthew Borg serves as a plastic surgeon at the Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit within Mater Dei Hospital. Moreover, he has been a part of Persona‘s team of plastic surgeons since 2013.
He graduated from the University of Malta medical school and immediately started working in the world renowned Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, England. He pursued further medical and surgical training both in the UK and in Malta. He also attended an observership at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, USA. He completed his specialisation in Plastic Surgery in the UK.
He has also undertook a specialised aesthetic fellowship with a renowned plastic surgeon and former president of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, focusing on cosmetic surgery procedures such as breast augmentation, breast lift (mastopexy), breast reduction, male breasts surgery (gynaecomastia), tummy tucks (abdominoplasty), thigh lifts, arm lifts, facial surgery and liposuction.

Mr. Simon De Gabriele is a leading Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeon in Malta with an interest in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring surgery, facial rejuvenation and skin cancer.
Mr. De Gabriele is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons.
At Present, Mr. De Gabriele serves as a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeon at the Plastic Surgery & Burns Unit in Mater Dei Hospital. Additionally, he has been part of Persona‘s team of plastic surgeons since it opened its doors for the first time in 2010.
He started his training in Malta, after graduating at the University of Malta Medical School, then moved to the UK to further his studies and work experience in Plastic Surgery. He completed his specialisation at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, in Scotland, where he specialised in microsurgical reconstruction.
Mr. De Gabriele, worked in Scotland as a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon, on a locum basis, upon invitation by the Clinical Lead of the Plastic Surgery Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
He frequently journeys to Italy for aesthetic fellowships with a renowned plastic surgeon, prioritising staying current with modern aesthetic surgery techniques.

Ms Angela Sultana, MD, FRCS (Edin) is a consultant General Surgeon with a special interest in Colorectal and Emergency Surgery. She was appointed Consultant Surgeon in August 2012 and obtained the Fellowship in General Surgery in February 1998.
Ms Angela Sultana has been a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta since December 2001. Besides performing General and colorectal surgery she is the sole provider of peritoneal access surgery for patients at the renal unit.
She has been engaged in academic and educational activities for several years. She has organized Masterclasses and Training the Trainers courses. Ms Angela Sultana attends surgical conferences and courses to keep apace with new surgical developments and techniques. At Persona Ms Angela Sultana performs the Allurion Weight-Loss Balloon placement, general surgery and sclerotherapy.
Ms Ariana Zarb graduated from the University of Malta in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Applied Food and Nutritional Science. In 2017, she also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics and obtained her registration as a Dietitian. She is currently reading for a Master of Science in the Applied Professional Practice of Dietetics with the University of Plymouth in the UK.
Ariana started working as a Registered Dietitian at Mater Dei hospital in 2017. She provides advice to people suffering from various issues such as difficulty losing or gaining weight, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, food intolerances and allergies, renal and liver problems and eating disorders. She has received training from the UK for specialization in bariatric (weight loss surgery) dietetics and thus is working towards making bariatric dietetics her area of special interest. She focuses on helping clients achieve a healthy lifestyle for the long-term rather than following short-term diets with temporary results. Each consultation is individualized according to the needs of the client and takes into account various factors such as budget, preparation time, job, lifestyle and free time.
She encourages her clients to maintain a healthy lifestyle by incorporating other areas of health such as mindfulness, physical activity and motivational techniques, thus providing a complete package towards long-term weight loss and maintenance.
Ms. Tara Grima is a Higher Specialist Trainee in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Mater Dei Hospital, Malta and has been working in the Plastic Surgery field for over 6 years.
Since July 2021, she has been completing her specialisation at the Mater Hospital and the Children's Hospital in Temple Street, Dublin. After earning her medical degree from the University of Malta in 2013, she became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2017. She subsequently obtained a Master's degree in Burn Care from Queen Mary University of London in 2017. Ms. Grima has a keen interest in Burns, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery.
At Persona, Ms. Grima currently focuses on med-aesthetic treatments, especially Botox and Dermal fillers rejuvenation procedures, as well as minor skin surgical operations. She received specialised training in Dermal Fillers and Botox in London, at the world-renowned Derma Medical training centre in 2018. She is driven by the passion and commitment she shows her patients, and with delivering natural looking results, to ensure the highest possible client satisfaction. Outside work she keeps fit by playing Tennis and Boxing. She also enjoys the adventure and the sense of freedom that travelling brings.
