PRE-MED - Key Persons


Amanda Spohn

Amanda Spohn joined the Pre-Professional Advising Office in December 2016 and became the Coordinator in August 2021. Previously, she worked with the pre-dental, veterinary, and optometry students - helping guide them through the process for gaining admission into professional school. Prior to joining our office, she was the departmental advisor for the Lamar Dodd School of Art and worked primarily with sophomore, junior and senior Art and Art History students. Amanda graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in Political Science and earned her M.Ed. at Ashland University.

Ashley Roseberry

Ashley Roseberry joined the Pre-Professional Advising Office in April 2020. She works with the pre-law students - helping guide them through the process for gaining admission into law school. Prior to joining our office, she was a teaching assistant in the Department of History here at the University of Georgia. Ashley graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in History. She also completed a M.A. in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at New York University.

Casey Ellis

Casey Ellis joined the Pre-Professional Advising office in October 2021. She works with pre-allied health and nursing. She worked for the graduate school at the University of Georgia for three years helping students wanting to continue their education. Casey earned her master's degree at UGA and worked as a teaching assistant during this time. She earned her B.A. at the University of Alabama and now has two great football teams to cheer for! Casey speaks English, Arabic, and French and has even taken pre-nursing classes herself. She enjoys working with students of all backgrounds to further their education.

Jennifer Letchuk

Jennifer Letchuk joined the Pre-Professional Advising Office in July 2018. She works with pre-medical students - primarily freshman and sophomores - helping guide them through the maze of admissions requirements and the application process. Prior to joining our office, she was a testing assistant at the Disability Resource Center at the University of Georgia. Jennifer graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Science with a certificate in Disability Studies and a Master's in Social Work. While at the university, she gained considerable experience in the inclusion of students with disabilities in higher education. She considers it a privilege to support students in their quest to achieve their academic and career goals.

Lise Kalla

Lise Kalla joined the Pre-Professional Advising Office in November 2021. She works with pre-dental and optometry students, helping them through the process of gaining admission to professional school. Prior to joining our office, Lise was a high school teacher of business, computer science, and career readiness skills. Lise's education covers the SEC: a Bachelor of Science in Business/Marketing from Auburn University, a Master of Public Health in Health Administration from the University of Tennessee, and an Education Specialist in Occupational Studies from the University of Georgia. Lise loves helping students achieve their career goals!

Michele Johnson

Michele Johnson joined the Pre-Professional Advising in November 2021. She works with pre-medical students - primarily third, fourth and alumni pre-med students - to help guide them through admissions requirements and the application process. Prior to joining PPAO, she served as an academic advisor for first- and second-year students in the Honors College. Michele earned master's degrees at American University and the University of Georgia. She also holds bachelor's degrees from Boston University and UGA. She finds joy in helping students attain their goals.

Taz Qadri

Taz Qadri joined the Pre-Professional Advising Office in November 2018. She works with pre-physician assistant and veterinary students helping guide them through the process of application into physician assistant and veterinary programs. Prior to joining the Pre-Professional Advising Office, Taz worked in Higher Education for 10 years, helping students with academic advising related to their healthcare career paths, financial aid, and as an adjunct instructor. Taz graduated from Brock University in Canada with a BSc. in Recreation and Leisure Studies, a BA in Education from Walden University, and a MSc. in Human Resource Management from Walden University.
