Fr. William Weary

Biography Father Weary is a graduate of Trinity High School and Susquehanna University. He has a Master's Degree from the University of Missouri and attended seminary at St. Charles Borromeo in Philadelphia. He was ordained in 1984 at St. Patrick Cathedral in Harrisburg. Father Weary has been pastor at Sacred Heart and St. Jude since 2009, and previously served as pastor at St. Joseph in Danville. He is happy to be back at Sacred Heart and St. Jude, where he briefly served as parochial vicar of the two parishes in 1989-1990.

Biography Mr. Grego grew up in Lewistown, Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Indian Valley High School. He earned a BS in Art Education from Penn State University Park, focusing in Ceramics and Art History, and Masters in Library Science from Kutztown University. Mr. Grego's classrooms are inviting, safe spaces to share, explore, and create. He presents a range of arts, artists, materials, and techniques so students can find their strengths and make great art - and display it with pride. In the library, Mr. Grego guides his students through book talks, library organization, and building research skills so they can be critical of the information they seek. Most importantly, his students have the access and tools to seek the stories they desire.

Mrs. Henry is a Sacred Heart alumnus and a graduate of Penn State with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She sees children as unique individuals who need a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. She believes that the good teacher acts as a guide-encouraging children's natural curiosity to direct their own learning while promoting respect for all things and all people.

Mrs. Jessica Hardin

Biography As a graduate of a Catholic primary school, Mrs. Hardin believes in the core values of Catholic education and the high educational standards upheld by Catholic schools. She is a graduate of Lock Haven University with a B.S. in Special Education and a B.S. in Secondary English. Mrs. Hardin's philosophy of education is that most importantly each student is recognized and valued as a God-made individual with unique needs, strengths, and character. She believes it is her role as a teacher to nurture the needs of the child as well as identify their most successful learning style and educational needs as a student. It is her goal to challenge each student to reach their highest potential in academics and as a child of God.

Mrs. Torquato has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Penn State. She views Kindergarten as a start for students and an introduction to their school's family atmosphere. She believes that a good teacher is honest, creative, caring, energetic, adaptable, and most of all, devoted to her job-working with parents as a team so that each student has the opportunity to progress to his or her potential.

Biography Mrs. Stimely is a 1998 graduate of Indian Valley High School and a 2003 graduate of Lock Haven University possessing a degree in Elementary Education. She has taught a variety of children in classes including Pre-school, Kindergarten, first, and third grades throughout the years. Mrs. Stimely states, "Second grade is my dream classroom and I am blessed to be realizing it here at Sacred Heart! My goal is to cultivate and nurture a classroom full of lifelong learners. I believe communication and collaboration between students, teachers, and families is of utmost importance. At the end of each day, my hope is that every student that walks out of my classroom has grown academically, socially, and emotionally because I know I certainly do!"
