Hi all, I'm Holly and this year I am helping lead the Strength and Conditioning programs for Rugby and Football. I am currently completing my Masters in Sport and Exercise Science after finishing my degree last year, with a main passion of mine being strength and conditioning and sports rehabilitation. Within the last year, I have focused on S&C in the Hockey department, training the U18 Waikato Hockey Association, so it has been a great opportunity to delve into some different sports and students by including Rugby and Football; especially as I have only ever played Netball as a sport myself. I look forward to the rest of the season for both teams!

Kia ora, my name is Mia Gaier. It is my honour and privilege to be your Deputy Head Girl of Learning this year.
My role at this school is to ensure that every student has a place and that the journey of learning at Sacred Heart Girls College fills students with courage and helps growth. In addition to this, I am also here to promote the many academic opportunities that Sacred Heart offers to enable students to succeed.
One thing that I have participated in over the past year is Scholarship English. I had the privilege of being the only student at SHGC to attain the scholarship, with a prize of $500. This was an amazing opportunity to test myself and push past what I would usually do in class. The reward, aside from being monetary, was a boosted University application and time spent bettering myself.

My name is Anna Butcher and am the Strength and Conditioning Coach here at Sacred Heart. I have completed a Bachelor of Sports Science and Human Performance at Wintec and am currently undergoing my Masters of Science (Human Performance Science). My specialty areas are biomechanics, sports nutrition, and youth athlete development. I am passionate about working with youth athletes from all sporting codes in both performance enhancement and injury prevention. I am looking forward to working with many of the up and coming athletes here and assisting them in being the best they can be throughout their sporting journey at Sacred Heart.

My name is Joe Hinds and I am a Sports Coordinator at Sacred Heart. Originally from Wales in the UK, I moved to New Zealand in 2017 to follow my passion in sport. I played Football in the League of Wales and began my coaching journey 19 years ago, working with Junior and Youth players. Most recently, I was a Regional Manager for a Football Academy and now I am the Head Coach of Hamilton Wanderers in the Men's Northern Premier League.
I love sport. A strong background in Football especially but Rugby, Cricket, Boxing and pretty much any sport available, I'll try. I believe sport gives you freedom to express yourself and helps physical and mental health. Developing good communication, teamwork and discipline result from sports participation along with a commitment and having plenty of fun. I am passionate about helping and supporting our students so they have a positive sports experience.

Mark is the Director of Sport Development and has taught primary and secondary school for over 20 years in New Zealand and overseas. He completed teacher training in Waikato before obtaining a Sports and Leisure Certificate at Tauranga Polytechnic.
Sport has always played an essential part of Mark's life, and after his early years of playing rugby and cricket, it has led him to a career in officiating and coaching to a high level. This includes coaching a Waikato women's rugby team. Mark's role at the College allows him to share his skills and experience with others, unlocking potential and transferring his passion for sports to students.
The satisfaction Mark takes from seeing students gain confidence, develop skills, embrace teamwork and show leadership skills from participating in sports is why he loves his role. He feels lucky to have so many supportive families from the Sacred Heart community on his team!
