Amie LaPierre

Ms. LaPierre has a Bachelor of Arts in management with minors in Art and French. While at Gettysburg College, Ms. LaPierre spent a semester in Aix-en-Provence, France. She later pursued a Master of Arts in Interior Design and spent several years designing in the Portsmouth area. For the past few years, she's been teaching in Hampton schools and is honored to now be a part of Sacred Heart School. Ms. LaPierre has compassion for helping students recognize their gifts and potential. She looks forward to guiding students to be curious learners, creative thinkers, and smart problem solvers. Ms. LaPierre is blessed to have two incredible sons. They spend a lot of time together on hikes, bikes, and skis. Ms. LaPierre also enjoys running, going to art museums, and of course, French cuisine!

Andrea Nichols

Mrs. Nichols earned her bachelors in Natural Science at Saint Anselm College and then went on to get her masters in Education with a focus in mathematics at Rivier University. This will be her fourth year teaching and third year at the middle school level. She is very excited to join the Sacred Heart School both in the classroom and as a Coach/Athletic Director. During her time away from teaching, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, biking and playing hockey.

Elizabeth Nevins

Mrs. Nevins is a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH. She earned her BS in Child Development with Early Childhood Certification. Mrs. Nevins is a former student of SHS and began her teaching career at SHS over 20 years ago! She loves the school community and now sends her own children to SHS to share her faith and love of SHS with them. Mrs. Nevins truly has a passion for teaching our youngest learners. Mrs. Nevins loves spending time with her family and if you don't know this already, is a huge fan of Walt Disney World in Florida. She likes to try to get down there at least once a year for the sights, sounds, smells, and atmosphere.

Heather Kodzis

Job Titles:

Nurse Kodzis (rhymes with dodges!) or Nurse K., received her BA from St. Anselm College and her BSN in Nursing from Salem State University, graduating Suma Cum Laude. She has worked as a Registered Nurse, first in acute care and then primary pediatric care, as well as a School Nurse. After spending time as a substitute nurse for SHS, she is joyful to join the Sacred Heart School community full-time. Her goal is to help keep the students in her care feeling their best so they can learn their best. During her off time, she can be found spending time with family (including feathered and furred) and loves to be in/on/near the water. She grows, sells, and preserves produce during the summer and raises cage free chickens for fun. Nurse K. firmly believes that taking care of our spiritual and emotional needs, exercising and being mindful of what we put in and, on our bodies, all have a direct impact on our health and well-being!

Hoffmann, Barbara

Jessica MacMaster

Mrs. MacMaster has a B.A. in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville and a Masters Degree in Old Testament Studies from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Mrs. MacMaster loves teaching at Sacred Heart School! In her classroom she thoroughly enjoys sharing her knowledge of the Catholic faith, focusing especially on the story of Salvation History found in the Bible. The freedom to share her faith and passion for the Scriptures with her students is one of her favorite parts of the school. Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her husband and five young children, reading, traveling, and going to the beach.

Julianne Edwards

Ms. Edwards has a Masters in Elementary Education and a Bachelors in History and Educational Studies from the University of New Hampshire. She is thrilled to work at Sacred Heart School teaching fourth grade. She loves all subjects (even math!), and she is particularly excited to teach about the Catholic faith and incorporate the love of God in every aspect of her classroom. When she is not teaching, Ms. Edwards is spending time with family and friends, reading, writing, watching movies, and walking.

Julie Eidukonis

Mrs. Eidukonis (ay-duh-cone-iss) obtained her Doctor of Education degree with a specialization in Language and Literacy from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. She earned her Master of Education degree with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from Northeastern University. Before that, Mrs. Eidukonis received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology and Communication from Marquette University. She is also New Hampshire and Massachusetts certified to teach Elementary Education (K-6) and work as a Reading Specialist (PreK-Adult). She has over 22 years of experience in Education teaching K-8 and college students. Mrs. Eidukonis loves teaching at Sacred Heart School because it is such a welcoming community. Collaboration with parents, faculty, and students strengthens her relationship with God. By working at Sacred Heart School, she can practice and live her faith daily. In the summer she likes to race sailboats, sail for fun, powerboat, kayak, camp, and hike. She loves visiting the beach in every season. In the winter she loves to ski. Mrs. Eidukonis also loves spending time with her husband and two children. Finally, it goes without saying, when she has a quiet moment, she loves to read!

Kara Pidgeon

Mrs. Pidgeon has her B.S. in Elementary Education with a Concentration in Mathematics from the University of Maine, Orono. She is also NH Certified as an Experienced Educator (K-8). She loves working at Sacred Heart because it does not matter if you have just newly arrived or have been here many years, you cannot mistake the warm and welcoming feeling every time you walk through the doors. She comes to work confident in the knowledge that she is part of a community in which people genuinely care about one another. Communication is open and honest. Support and help are readily available. Everyone is treated with love and respect. With the focus of learning on the whole child, she is encouraged to teach children, not subjects, and she is given space, materials and guidance to do so to the best of her abilities. Mrs. Pidgeon loves being able to proclaim her faith and ask for God's blessings daily because it gives unparalleled value to a teacher's mission. When she's not teaching, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She and her husband have two college-aged sons who they love to go camping with. She is a casual jogger and fair-weather skier and loves to read, especially historical fiction series with thick volumes!

Maria Ponte

Mrs. Ponte has her Master of Education, with a concentration on secondary science education. Her Bachelor of Science is in Geological Sciences, with research focusing on coastal environmental processes. Over the last 12 years Mrs. Ponte has taught high school Biology and Environmental Science in Maine, Middle School science in Mass., Earth Science in New York, and currently holds NH teacher certification for Earth Science grades 5-12. She enjoys working at SHS because of the team approach to teaching, and colleagues that share similar core values of Christian life that carries over to best teaching practice, and supporting positive connections within the SHS community. Mrs. Ponte is married with adult children. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling and exploring new places, hiking, canoeing, and walking the beach with their two goldens, Nala and Gracie.

Meg Popp

Mrs. Popp has her Masters in Reading and Language and a B.S in Elementary/Special Education. She loves working at a Catholic School because God is at the center of everything and she can share her faith with the children. Teaching values and faith is a natural part of our Christ-centered school. Sacred Heart School is special to her because she sees first-hand how connected the families are to their children's education. The faculty and staff are like a family--everyone supports each other. Smaller class sizes allow her to better meet the needs of all children in a class. Outside of school, Mrs. Popp enjoys walking, trips to the beach, reading, working around her yard and house, and spending time with family and friends.

Sarah Cropper

Mrs. Cropper has her Masters in Education in Early Childhood Education and recently received her Catholic School Leadership Certificate (12 Graduate credits). She is also NH Certified in Early Childhood Education. She chooses to work at a Catholic school because she truly believes it is the best education choice for children. Her favorite thing about Sacred Heart School is working with passionate, caring, professional colleagues who share the same beliefs and approaches to teaching. She also loves her daily interactions in the classroom with her young students and watching them grow academically, socially and spiritually. Mrs. Cropper enjoys walking the beach, family vacations, skiing, tennis, reading and gardening during her free time.

Scott Bray

Mr. Bray comes to Sacred Heart after 27 years of teaching in Bridgewater - Raritan High School in New Jersey. At Bridgewater - Raritan Mr. Bray taught several different courses in the social studies curriculum; mainly concentrating in United States History, American Law, Sociology and World Cultures. Outside the classroom he served as the Head Baseball Coach for (8 years) and most recently was the Head Football Coach for the past 15 years and Head Girls Basketball Coach for the past 6. Mr. Bray did his undergraduate work at Lycoming College where he received a B.A. in Business Management, B.A. in Managerial Economics and a Secondary Education degree in Social Sciences. Mr. Bray is excited to join the Sacred Heart and play an integral part in the overall school community.

Trinity Willett

Ms. Willett has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health Science. While attending college, Trinity worked at an after-school program and was a classroom sub in a Catholic School. She is very excited to begin working in the gym teaching PE at Sacred Heart!

Virginia Carmody

Mrs. Carmody has an M.A. in Spanish from the University of Rhode Island, a NH Experienced Educator License in Spanish, and more than a decade of Junior High teaching experience. Mrs. Carmody spoke Spanish in her home growing up and has lived in various Spanish-speaking countries. She enjoys sharing her Spanish language and cultural experiences with students. Outside of school, Mrs. Carmody enjoys attending daily mass, reading, and spending time with her family.
