Bradley A. Constance

Bradley A. Constance practices in the areas of civil litigation, real estate, estate planning and probate administration. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Graceland College in 1977 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1980, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1980. Bradley is a member of the Missouri Bar. Brad is actively involved in the community where he serves on the Board of Directors of the Truman Heartland Community Foundation and is the chairman-elect of the Independence Chamber of Commerce. Brad is a member of the Rotary Club of Independence and a past president of the club.

Byron A. Stewart, Jr. was a very decorated and successful attorney, for 63 years. On March 14, 2015, Byron A. Stewart, Jr. passed away. His family here at Stewart, Cook, Constance & Minton miss him dearly. Byron A. Stewart, Jr. practiced in the areas of probate administration, estate planning, and real estate law. Byron received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri in 1949 where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and his Juris doctorate degree from the University of Michigan in 1952, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1952. Byron was listed in Best Lawyers in America for 28 years (1983-2011), and was a member of the prestigious American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (1988-2010). Byron is the author of a number of publications, including Take Inventory! Notes on Probate Inventory for the General Practitioner, Journal of The Missouri Bar, December 1965; Chapter Two, Dispensing with or Terminating Administration, Missouri Estate Administration, Third Edition, 1984 and Chapter 2, Dispensing with or Terminating Administration, I Mo. Estate Administration Fourth Edition 1999. Byron Constance

Byron Constance practices in the areas of corporate planning, estate planning, probate and real estate law. Byron attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and University of Louisville, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1949, where he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1949. Byron's community involvement includes serving as a member and president of the Board of Regents of the University of Central Missouri and member and president of the Board of Trustees of Graceland University. He has also served as the chairman of the Jackson County Board of Election Commissioners.

David H. Cook

David H. Cook practices in the areas of estate planning, elder law, probate administration and litigation, civil and business litigation, real estate, corporate law, and business transactions. David received his undergraduate degree from Graceland College in 1969. He received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1972 from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and was admitted to the Missouri Bar the same year. In 1977, he was admitted and qualified as an Attorney and Counselor for the Supreme Court of the United States. David has been involved in the community, having acted as legal counsel for the Independence Chamber of Commerce, and is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Comprehensive Mental Health Services, Inc. He is a member of the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association and the Missouri Bar.

Kent W. Minton

Kent W. Minton practices in the areas of trust litigation, probate litigation, contested trusts and estate, probate administration and elder law, guardianships, estate planning, real estate litigation and civil litigation. Kent received his Bachelor of Science degree from Central Missouri State University in 1976, studied at the University of Tulsa, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 1982, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1982. Kent is the author of Contested Claims, Chapter 19, Missouri Estate Administration, Fourth Edition. He is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (Probate and Estate Planning Committee), and the Missouri Bar (Probate Committee; Elder Law Committee; Revision of Missouri Trust Law Subcommittee; Guardianship Subcommittee).
