David G. Hart, Ph.D. was most recently Senior Vice President, Systems and Products at Elster Solutions, where he was responsible for the product management, engineering, and quality organizations. A native of Union, SC., Dr. Hart holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and a MS in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University. Previously from ABB where he held various managerial and engineering positions, he has numerous patents in smart metering, power system protection and control, and automation. Dr. Hart's previous areas of focus included generator protection, transmission protection, and distribution protection and control, as well as distribution and feeder automation. Since 1992, Dr. Hart has over 30 technical disclosures in power system protection, control and automation and been awarded 10 patents in the United States. Dr. Hart has received numerous awards including an ABB Achievement Award, and is a Senior IEEE/PES Member.
Mark Munday has nearly 30 years of design engineering and executive leadership. He holds 27 patents in the United States for his work in tamper detection, service detection, power quality monitoring systems and programmable functions. He joined Westinghouse in 1981, and through ABB's acquisition, became Technology Manager for ABB Business Units (electricity, water, gas, and energy) in the U.S, South America, and Europe, responsible for ANSI and IEC products for 5 international business centers. His roles as Vice President and General Manager of ABB Electricity Metering positioned him to be President and CEO of Elster Solutions before his most recent role as Chief Technology Officer of Elster Group. He is now CEO of Utilalytics, a utility consulting firm. Mark Munday has received numerous awards including three George Westinghouse Awards of Excellence, four ABB Awards of Excellence, and in 1995 he received the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers' (IEEE) Best Engineer award for the North Carolina Region. Mr. Munday holds a BS in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC., and received business training at the Wharton Executive School (University of Pennsylvania) as well as the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Mike Longrie has over 20 years experience working in the electric utility industry. He has held various positions in engineering, technical marketing, salproduct management with a focus on metering, power distribution and automation systems. He has extensive global experience having worked in North and South America, Asia and Europe. Mr. Longrie holds a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, an MA in Economics from the University of Colorado and an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management.

Rafael Cabrera is Founder and General Manager of Solutionbee LLC. A graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology and North Carolina State University, Mr. Cabrera has held various leadership positions in product management and general management, including setting up businesses for ABB in Romania and China. He speaks English, German and Spanish fluently and specializes in technology startups. When not working or throwing the football with his son, he can often be found studying Chinese, a life-long endeavor for Mr. Cabrera, if a little futile.
Ron D. Pate is Executive Advisor of Solutionbee, LLC. An honors graduate of North Carolina State University, Ron has extensive strategic marketing and sales experience in technology companies, as well as a wealth of experience in building profitable companies in both technology and real estate industries. Most recently Ron was the Global Head of Solutions and Product Management for Elster's Electricity Business Unit, in which role Ron provided solutions and product strategy guidance, as well as technical marketing leadership. Ron is widely recognized as a strategic thought leader, especially in emerging technology, and serves today on the Board of Directors for numerous companies including technology, real estate, and personal and professional training companies. In addition to his love of marketing and strategy, Ron enjoys languages, martial arts, and spending time with his daughters.
