Chuck Tapert is President and CEO of StoneTapert Insurance Services. An industry veteran with over 35 years of experience, Chuck is the driving force behind the high standards and customer commitment of the firm. Chuck is a founding member of the exclusive Benefits America alliance and has established relationships with key providers who support his passion for providing world-class, high touch service. From leveraging buying power to providing support for HR professionals stretched with multiple priorities, Chuck has forged vendor relationships that help the firm provide best-in-class, customized benefits programs for small- to medium-sized employers. Staying true to his native Southern California roots, Chuck, his wife and two young adult children live in the Foothills where they participate in several organizations that give back to the community. When not supporting Villa Esperanza, Foothill Family and other non-profits, Chuck can be found working on his golf game, cheering for the Ram's or checking out his latest hobby, beekeeping.

Debbie Huggins

Debbie Huggins is Director of Key Accounts with StoneTapert Insurance Services. She is responsible for working with and managing the firm's largest employer groups. She sets the bar high, as she consistently provides world class service to clients. Whether assisting with Open Enrollment needs, resolving claims or billing issues or responding to questions and needs of her HR clients, Debbie is known for her tireless diligence and keen attention to detail. A veteran in the insurance industry, Debbie was V.P. of Administration and Finance for CHAD Industries prior to joining StoneTapert Insurance Services. She is a committed and active member of the employee benefits and HR professional industry. Debbie has held various board positions and is currently a member of the Pasadena Chapter of the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA), the premier association for HR professionals. After hours, Debbie enjoys firing up the barbeque and relaxing with neighbors, friends and family. On long weekends, she can often be found in Sacramento visiting her extended family.

Joann Montanez - CFO

Joann Montanez is Director of Finance and Office Manager for StoneTapert Insurance Services. She is responsible for managing the critical ‘behind the scenes' functions that support the office. Joann handles the accounting, payroll, licensing and contracting, and all day-to-day needs that keep the business running smoothly. Known for her high energy and great multi-tasking skills, Joann manages requests, deadlines and change effortlessly. A veteran business manager and former bank manager, Joann was recruited from Washington Mutual to take on this key role. Her presence and ability to manage the business allows other StoneTapert team members to focus on client and workforce priorities. Joann is a native of the Foothills area of Southern California where she still lives with her husband. She has two daughters, one lives locally, and one is currently living her dream job - in Spain. Down time is spent spoiling her two grandsons and watching them play sports.

Matt Tapert - VP

Matt Tapert is Vice President of StoneTapert Insurance Services. He is responsible for the firm's Small Group clients, as well as individuals within those groups who have signed on for individual and Medicare plans. He sees his role as being a resource to support and help clients when they need perspective, insight and counsel. From providing insight on healthcare plan options to resources for HR issues and compliance, Matt has been guiding client firms for over 20 years. Starting outside of the industry with stints on an oil tanker and in the sound department of a Hollywood movie company, Matt chose to pursue his insurance license and join the family firm so that he could connect with and help people with a service that provides value. A native of the Foothills of Southern California, Matt is married and has a young daughter.
