Dr. Brenda Taddeo

Dr. Taddeo is the owner of Sully Animal Hospital. She comes from northern Michigan, and because of the frigid winters, she decided to go south to complete her undergraduate degree and found herself at High Point University. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinicals at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, she moved to northern Virginia with her husband, who is native to the area. Dr. Taddeo has practiced with the Northern Virginia Veterinary Associates and primarily worked at Chantilly and Centreville Square Animal Hospitals. She also practiced at Prince William Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Manassas, where she was able to gain critical patient care experience. Dr. Taddeo enjoys surgeries and has one of the best recovery rates in the D.C. metro area. Dr. Taddeo lives in Fairfax, Virginia., with her husband and three girls. They have two cats named Skitters and Kitt. Dr. Taddeo believes that treatment does not stop with the diagnosis and a medical prescription. She feels that high-quality medicine and TLC are essential aspects of patient care. Dr. Taddeo prides herself on treating all of her patients as if they were her own.

Dr. Jacqueline Cole

Originally from New York where she completed her undergraduate studies, Dr. Jacqueline Cole moved to the United Kingdom to attend the Royal Veterinary College. Upon graduating in 2014, Dr. Cole remained in the UK and worked in various general practices and university referral settings, and attended numerous local and international veterinary conferences. Dr. Cole has many special interests including internal medicine, geriatric medicine, and behavior. Dr. Cole also has advanced qualifications working with feline medicine and often handles advanced cases.

Dr. Sarah Dowling

Dr. Dowling is an East Coast native but relocated to the Midwest as a child. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian but specifically fell in love with internal medicine while obtaining her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana in 2011. In 2012, she completed a rotating small animal internship at the University of Minnesota. She then went on to complete a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. After becoming board-certified (and with her parents living in Annapolis, MD), Dr. Dowling returned to the East Coast. She practiced in Lancaster, PA until 2020, then moved to the Northern Virginia/DC Metro area where she continued practicing in Rockville, MD prior to joining MOVES in early 2021. Dr. Dowling is excited to offer high-quality and convenient internal medicine services to family veterinarians, owners, and patients in the NoVA area. She enjoys implementing a team approach with owners and family veterinarians to ensure seamless care for her patients. In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors with her boyfriend, cooking, kayaking, and making pottery. She has 2 dogs (Dexter and Corbin), her cat (Delilah), and a very opinionated parrot (Sammy). Sarah was recently adopted by an amazing rabbit. (Bun Bun)

Dr. Tibor Lazar

Dr. Lazar is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He is one of a small number of board-certified veterinary surgeons throughout the world. Dr. Lazar earned this coveted status from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2003, following an intensive three-year surgical residency and a rigorous board certification exam. Dr. Lazar grew up in Fairfax County, graduated from Robinson High School in 1987, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology at the University of Virginia in 1991. He began his veterinary training at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1996. In 1997, he completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Following a year of private practice in Manhattan, Dr. Lazar moved to Maitland, Florida, for a one-year small animal surgery internship at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists. He then remained at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists for a three-year residency in small animal surgery. Upon the completion of his residency in 2002, Dr. Lazar returned to northern Virginia. In 2003, he earned board certification from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He has spent the past ten years focused on small animal specialty surgery in northern Virginia. Dr. Lazar lives in Reston, Virginia, with his wife, their two sons, and many pets, including dogs, cats, birds, snakes, and fish.
