TIMER

TIMER was founded by Monte Posner in 1980. Initially, we were a loosely knit group of REMSCO instructors before NYS launched its official curriculum for instructors. Our faculty members have extensive experience teaching emergency courses in southern Brooklyn, Staten Island, and other areas of New York... Just 6 years after founding TIMER, Monte Posner became the Executive Director and was granted Authorized Sponsor Status by the New York State Department of Health. Our senior REMSCO instructors were grandfathered in as state instructors, and TIMER began teaching EMT and CPR courses on its own. From 1989 to 2004, we worked at the St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center's Bayley Seton Hospital Campus. As our faculty grew, we taught other topics in emergency medicine and pre-hospital care... Today we operate out of the Oakwood Heights Community Church, teaching an array of classes and conducting NYS certification exams.
