One of the questions we are most commonly asked with regard to our ceramic goods is whether they are dishwasher safe. Now, this entirely depends on how the ceramic goods you are using have been finished off. Most items that are made with the intent of using for cooking or dining are finished with a glaze which does make the suitable for the dishwasher. However, if you want to keep them looking their best, we will always recommend hand washing as this will prevent the paint from chipping. If the item you have purchased was not intended for this use it is unlikely that it will be safe for the dishwasher as this is not expected of the item... Before placing any ceramic goods in the dishwasher, you should check with the company you purchased them from whether or not they are dishwasher safe. Whilst most will be, they last thing you want if for the item you spent money on to be damaged or not looking its best due to not following its intended washing instructions.
